While many choose not to travel in November due to the busy holiday season right around the corner, it happens to be one of the best months for a vacation. These destinations are relatively quiet, preparing for hordes of travelers during the holidays, which makes them perfect for travelers who want a relaxing escape before the madness begins. Here are five of the best destinations to visit during November…

    1. The Bahamas

While crowds flock to the Bahamas in December to escape the cold and for the holidays, you’ll have the islands to yourself in November. You’ll be able to enjoy serene, quiet beaches, average temperatures in the mid-80s, and warm water. A tropical vacation is a great way to get rested and refreshed before Winter!

    2. The U.S. South

America’s South is a great destination for November travel because the weather is pretty close to perfect. Most other months in the year are incredibly humid and hot, so this way you’ll be able to explore all the South has to offer without the intense heat. Cities like New Orleans and Charleston are a couple of our favorites!

    3. Hawaii

Take your pick of any Hawaiian island in November! The islands are pretty much cleared out before Thanksgiving, which means you can visit iconic spots such as Waikiki beach and the North Shore with significantly less tourists. There are also a couple of fun events that happen in November! Humpback whales also return to Hawaii this month, making it a prime time to go on a whale-watching tour. Also, the Kona Coffee Cultural Festival is Hawaii’s oldest food festival and runs for 10 days in Kona.

    4. Sicily

The beautiful Italian island of Sicily can get overrun with tourists in the summertime, so it’s best to visit in the off season. You’ll be able to stroll through ancient Greek ruins without the crowds, and you’ll have your pick of hotels and restaurants to choose from. You can also experience Sicily’s budding Mt. Etna wine region and have the wineries all to yourself. Everything on the island typically stays open in November, so you get the best of both worlds!

    5. New Zealand

Since it’s springtime in New Zealand in November, it’s a prime month to visit this stunning country. It’s a slightly busier month because of it, but less so than the extremely crowded summer months that start in December. It’s well worth a visit with the beautiful spring weather and incredible, seasonal spring cuisine. Foodies will rejoice in all the delicious food offerings such as spring lamb and fresh fruits!

November is the perfect month to give yourself a break after summer and before the holidays. You’ll be able to score great travel deals and have your choice of things to do, without busy crowds or crazy heat. These five spots are ideal for spending your November getaway!
