These are without a doubt difficult times and
COVID-19 continues to challenge the world. To play our part in social
distancing, Avoya has temporarily relocated our operations to be completely
home based. With over 1,500 independent travel agencies and support employees,
we're 100% operational and still here to assist you. Our mission at
Avoya Travel is to bring people happiness through unforgettable travel
experiences, and we hope to continue doing so when you are ready.
During these unprecedented times, having someone there for you every step of the way is essential when planning a vacation. With Avoya Travel, you’re not in this alone. Every traveler is paired with an Independent Vacation Planner whose value is incomparable during times like these. Through their expertise and insider knowledge, they will help you plan a getaway with confidence and ease of mind.
There are no Avoya fees to book, change, or cancel your cruise or tour. Our standard cancellation policy is in our Terms & Conditions, but many cruise lines and travel providers have modified their individual cancellation policies to allow customers more flexibility in managing their travel dates. Your Vacation Planner can help answer any questions you may have about your upcoming cruise plans, offer advice concerning your travel provider's specific policies, sailing updates, and cancellation requirements. Travel Provider's cancellation and rebooking policies are changing daily with many announcing generous, traveler-friendly policies that encourage travelers not to outright cancel but instead just delay their vacation. We are seeing more and more travelers doing just that – not cancelling and instead pushing their vacation out a few months, and just like the rest of the world, waiting a while for the virus to pass and then continuing with their lives again.
We want to be realistic about the present uncertainties, but hopeful for the future. Every day we have the privilege to plan vacations with travelers around the world and see the joy and fulfillment it gives them. Although this is a global issue, just like you, we will never lose our love for travel. While traveling is limited right now, we are confident that there will be a huge opportunity for great adventures in the future whether it be later this year, 2021, or beyond.
As we fight this global tragedy, we are encouraged by the many positive (yet often not headline grabbing) stories about families and communities drawing closer together. However, we grieve in seeing so many people dealing with hopelessness. When it's all safe for you to start traveling again, we encourage you to consider the millions of people whose primary source of income is tourism. We also invite you to visit TourismCares.org.
