American Queen and Uniworld Partner to Offer Discounts to River Cruisers
American Queen Steamboat Company (AQSC) and Uniworld River Cruises are offering special cross-promotional pricing for cruisers whose sailing has been suspended due to COVID-19.
Affected Uniworld cruisers can redeem special pricing on AQSC Summer sailings which resume travel on the Mississippi River July 20th, while Uniworld River Cruises is offering special pricing on 2021 sailings in Europe, Russia, China, Vietnam and Cambodia, India, Egypt, or Peru in 2021 to AQSC guests.
AQSC showcases a steamboat paddlewheel experience that focuses on cultural enrichment and luxury accommodations throughout the itinerary, similar to the experience guests receive internationally onboard Uniworld River Cruises.
American Duchess will be the first AQSC ship to set sail from St. Louis to Minneapolis and includes a pre-cruise hotel stay in St. Louis. The American Empress, American Countess, and American Queen will set sail later in Summer 2020.
The two cruise providers will hope this alliance will be able to remedy affects of COVID-19 cruise suspensions for those who are eagerly awaiting to experience the world’s greatest rivers and riverside landmarks once again.
‘While we wish we could welcome guests back onboard Uniworld cruises at this time, we hope this special offer from American Queen Steamboat Company will allow our guests to still enjoy all of the things they love about river cruising while exploring America’s rivers and riverside communities,’ said Ellen Bettridge, president and CEO of Uniworld. ‘We trust AQSC to take excellent care of our guests while we prepare to resume operations in the near future and look forward to sharing a special opportunity for guests of AQSC to expand their love of river cruising abroad in 2021.’
