Join Hurtigruten Expeditions and explore five Latin American countries, discovering ancient pyramids, exceptionally beautiful national reserves, and delicious local delicacies.

Starting from UNESCO-listed Valparaíso, Chile, you’ll journey north to the Neo-Colonial enclave of La Serena, then on to Paracas to visit the Ballestas Islands, which are teeming with biodiversity. Then discover the sumptuous cuisine in Lima, the capital of Peru, and tour the ancient temple and city ruins around Trujillo in Salaverry.

In Ecuador, explore Parque Nacional Machalilla on Isla de la Plata. While in Manta, visit Montecristi, where classic Panama hats were invented. Alaska is a destination for true explorers. With immense glaciers, deep fjords, and vast stretches of wilderness, its scenery alone never fails to impress visitors. You’ll also see remains of the Gold Rush era in the fishing villages, abandoned towns, and bustling harbor towns you visit.

The waters of Alaska are teeming with life. You might see whales, porpoises, dolphins, or even large colonies of sea lions. On land, look out for moose and caribou wandering the forests and brown bears fishing for salmon in the rivers. Birdwatching enthusiasts can look forward to spotting some of the many rare species that call Alaska their home.

The Inside Passage of Alaska is home to the Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian people, whose history is reflected in towering totem poles, while Russian settlers left a legacy of onion-domed churches gleaming with icons.

Explore five of Norway’s most beautiful fjords on this sailing from Dover to the stunning Norwegian coast. The fjords are magical in any season. On this springtime expedition cruise, we witness the fjords waking up from the long winter months.

The days grow longer and the sun warms the air. Snow still covers the mountains, but the thaw brings meltwater gushing down rock faces, creating beautiful waterfalls and adding a deep color to the rivers. Down in the valleys, pastures are green, fruit trees are in bloom, and the idyllic fjord villages emerge from hibernation.

Your Galápagos expedition features handpicked landings where you’ll see wildlife in a wide variety of island ecosystems. See sea lions basking in the sun on Mosquera Islet and giant tortoises on San Cristóbal and Santa Cruz. This UNESCO World Heritage City, filled with graceful Spanish-era architecture, is packed with cozy restaurants and small artisanal shops. From here, you'll pay a visit to an active volcano, embark on a nature walk among stunning surroundings, and stop to visit a vibrant open-air market. The western itinerary calls at Isabela and Floreana, at the volcanic island of Fernandina, and the centrally located Santa Cruz Island. The landings take in a wide variety of ecosystems and picturesque landscapes and provide great opportunities for seeing wildlife like sea lions, turtles, marine iguanas, giant tortoises, flamingos, Nazca and Red-footed Boobies, and Darwin’s iconic Finches.
