Both designer-inspired and luxurious, Insignia offers entirely new suites, cabins, and bathrooms along with a sweepingly re-inspired atmosphere throughout the ship. The public spaces have been tastefully refreshed with a soft sea and sky palette of fabrics, designer furnishings and custom light fixtures that exquisitely showcase the inimitable style and comfort of Oceania Cruises. Insignia features four unique, open-seating restaurants, the Aquamar Spa + Vitality Center, eight lounges and bars, a casino and over 300 luxurious suites and stylish cabins, a majority of which feature private verandas.

Enjoy an eclectic mix of delicious cuisine onboard in casual and upscale settings alike, from the gourmet Italian cuisine of Toscana served on Versace china to burgers hot off the grill at Waves Grill. Dance the night away with friends at Horizons or try a one-of-a-kind drink at Martinis. Enjoy a lively game of shuffleboard with new friends and practice your short game on the putting green on the sports deck. Relax with a premium treatment at Aquamar Spa + Vitality Center before lounging by the pool in a luxury daybed. However you want to unwind, you’ll find your retreat on Insignia.

customers say

Oceania Insignia receives high marks for its attentive service, excellent food, and intimate small-ship atmosphere. Many guests praise the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, as well as the quality of the cuisine. However, there are recurring criticisms about the small cabin and bathroom sizes, repetitive menus, and underwhelming entertainment and excursions. Some guests feel the ship is showing its age and that value for money is not always met, especially regarding excursions and specialty dining. The ship is best suited for mature travelers seeking a relaxed, refined experience rather than a lively, activity-packed cruise.

Service

Service is consistently highlighted as a standout feature, with many guests describing the staff as professional, friendly, and attentive. Some isolated complaints about understaffing or less responsive service in certain venues, but overall, service is a major strength.

"Cruise was great but the best part was the staff of the Insignia. Very professional, very helpful, and great personalities."
"We had a wonderful cruise, we were pampered. The food and service were outstanding."
"The cruise was well managed and very enjoyable. The service was excellent."

The Insignia ship, crew and staff gave us the best of cruising experiences. The suite, the restaurants, the amenities were perfect for the small ship experience that we enjoy. We met and gathered with many other folks that have had similar travel adventures and that relish the small ship cruises. Thank you Deborah !

Outstanding staff. Food was mostly good, but lacked flavor in some instances. The trip was a bit longer than anticipated. Lots of down time crossing the Atlantic. A few of the expeditions could have been more interesting in particular, Cape Town. Overall, a positive experience.

“Mixed reviews as so-called verandah upgrade overlooked noisy, working deck”

We booked a GTY Verandah and were upgraded to a concierge verandah that turned out to be the worst verandah on the ship as it overlooked a working deck with incessant hammering beginning at 8:30 am on days we were in port. We allegedly had a steward but never met him. The bathroom was tiny with an even smaller shower stall. The food was generally good at the Terrace Restaurant and Waves Grill but items were often mislabeled and did not contain listed ingredients. Staff and servers were friendly and professional. The Polo Grill was very good one night, but the veal chop was disappointing t

From the moment we first stepped aboard the Insignia to the moment we debarked the service of all crew members was impeccable. Meals were excellent at all venues although I was expecting a nicer variety at the two specialty restaurants. The nightly shows were excellent while the daytime was too relaxing (boring), really nothing was going on. While the ship itself was very clean, it does need an update. Our cabin was a rear facing balcony with magnificent views but inside was very tight, but surprisingly drawer space for clothing was very adequate. The bathroom the smallest I have ever seem on
