Overall the cruise was great. Some of the earlier excursions were way to slow as they did not offer an active walker option. Would like to have spent more time in Cologne and less time in Lahnstein.

The AMA Waterways trip on the AMA Douro did not disappoint. From beautiful vistas cruising on the Douro, to visits to vineyards at local quintas, to exploring Porto and Lisbon, we had a fantastic time. Andres was a great cruise manager who was able to keep our group organized and entertained throughout the cruise. The chef and the cruise food preparation team did a fantastic job in offering delicious and creative meals. We will be back for a future AMA cruise.

The cruise exceeded all our expectations. From the food to the service everything was first rate. The excursion options allowed you to select the pace most comfortable for you. We never felt rushed or hurried nor did we feel crowded on board. When there was a problem with our return flight, our Travel Agent & AMA addressed it immediately. AMA Waterways came highly recommended to us & it didn't disappoint.

The crew of the AmaSiena were absolutely amazing. The entire crew made us very special and treated us with kindness. The food above the AmaSiena was extraordinary. It was like eating at a five star restaurant for every meal. There were dishes that I would normally not select or eat but the kitchen staff made everything taste wonderful. The trip was a balance between going on excursions and relaxing on the ship was we traveled down the river. The entire tour was outstanding! The food and service was superb. The side tours were very informative as well.

Our cruise was amazing! The excursions were great with very nice guides. Timing is a key they use when the lines can be avoided. Time was limited, understandingly so. The service, food, cleanliness and activities exceeded my expectations.

Overall trip was well organized to where, once we booked and selected our land tours, everything went smoothly. Staff and directors were approachable and accommodating. My only reason for a 4 rating (vs. 5) is that electricity to our room went off in the middle of our last night onboard and we had to flag down a staff person who happened to be walking down the hall so it would be restored.

It was wonderful, first class all the way. Excursions were great and food wa good.

Too many long bus rides. Mediocre food at best. Same selections every night. The crew was wonderful, our suite was ok but will not pick AmaWaterways again

We thoroughly enjoyed our river cruise on the AmaVida including additional stays in Lisbon and Madrid. The staff on the ship provided excellent service. Our cruise manager Andre did an exceptional job! The food was very good and we enjoyed the variety in the menu each night at dinner. We particularly liked that the shipped cruised during the day so that we could sit back, relax and watch the very scenic Douro Valley as we cruised through. The excursions were well planned.
