AMA Waterways did not miss a beat. They were excellent

The AMA experience was wonderful. The food was great--too much so, the ship beautifully appointed. The excursions were very good and not having thousands of people on board made it more personal and enjoyable.

I strongly recommend AmaWaterways river cruises. The Romantic Rhine cruise from Amsterdam to Basel was great. Just wished we had scheduled the additional three days to Lucerne and Zurich, Switzerland. Guess we'll just have to go again.

Dining was extraordinary. Itenerary could be improved with more shore time and variety in excursions. Rommel was comfortable, but not as well designed as one would expect from an organization that is on its 18th vessel. Entry, closets, and bathroom doors all opened in the same space. Needless to say this led to bit of banging. The only place to store luggage was under the bed. The only way to have access under the bed was to physically move it.
