We truly enjoy traveling with Holland America Cruise Line; however, there was an incident where we felt the crew could have gone to a little trouble to try and resolve the situation.

The Koningsdam is a technological marvel but has none of the elegance of previous ships. There is no "wow" factor. Going for a different demographic, I suspect.

We prefer the older more established cruise ships on Holland America although it is a great cruise line

The cruiseline we traveled with was exceptionally good and the recommended cabin types and positions plus every description of ship and it's amenities given to us by Avoya was absolutely correct.

Holland has a great product with reasonable price.

Holland America's ships are too big... I prefer smaller ships and smaller ports of call.

The ship is beautiful, and everything about is was wonderful. Our only complaint concerns the optional tours. They were WAY overpriced. Example: $59 in La Corona, Spain for a 1 and 3/4 hour bus trip to see very little. Others from the ship saw more for $10 using public transportation. Portsmouth = $89 to see geese.

NEW SHIP ... CUT ABOVE THE OTHER HA SHIPS. A FEW GLITCHES. WILL TAKE 3-6 MONTHS TO CORRECT. HA HAS STARTED CHARGING ALOT OF EXTRA FEES ON BOARD. MANY PASSENGERS WERE UPSET AND DID NOT USE MANY OF THE EXTRA SERVICES. HA NEEDS TOP WORK WITH THIS ISSUE. QUALITY OF FOOD AND SERVICE WAS DOWN AS COMPARED TO OUR LAST CRUISE. GROUND TOURS WERE FAIR TO POOR. SOME GUIDES SPENT THEIR TIME ASKING FOR TIPS FOR THEMSELVES AND THE DRIVER. CONCERNED ABOUT SECURITY IN TURKEY.FEEL HA COULD HAVE ELIMINATED AT LEAST ISTANBUL. SLOPPY CHECKIN IN ROME. MOVED TO 2 LINES AND IT STILL TOOK 1 HOUR AND WE WERE ALWAYS FI
