Not only did we appreciate the decadence of the Regatta (Oceania)but almost everyone on board the cruise line who had taken trips with other companies stated that Oceania is the best. So while the ship and its staff's service was 100% a few marks are lost due to the off-shore excursions. We took 5 and wasn't the most impressed with several of them.

I LOVE Oceania Cruises, and will book another cruise in the near future. Carnival and Oceania ships are so totally different vacation packages. We prefer smaller ships with no children, like Oceania. Carnival cruises focus on children and families.

Everything was as expected, and the only problem was the nearly two hour delay getting registered to go on board. Seems all flights into Auckland arrive about the same time, and they were not ready for this.

The Oceania Regatta is a great ship with an even better crew. They brought the best of the Insignia to the Regatta when they decided to lease Insignia for two years. The size of the ship is perfect for us. Big enough to meet lots of people, but not so big you feel over-run. We would have given a higher rating, but they cahrge too much for shore nexcursions - often 3 to 4 times what the local operator charges.

We very much enjoy Oceania, love their itineraries and small size of ship. Service is great as well as the total onboard experience

Oceania is a good ship. The biggest "downer" is the auto charge of an 18% gratuity in the bar as the service does not warrant an 18% tip.

The ship and staff were excellent, but there was frustration with schedule changes. There were a couple of minor problems with the shore excursions and the cruise line gave a credit in response to one of those. Although I enjoyed it, we missed our pets and will probably be doing a lot more travel in the RV rather than cruising.

The cruise itself was great, from the accomodations, to the food, and best of all the staff and service. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 was because when we arrived at the Anchorage Convention Center, by taxi, to register and drop off our bags, there was NO ONE THERE to help all of us with our bags, so we had to drag them all in ourselves, to the main auditorium to drop them off. I've been on many other cruises but this was my first with Oceania, and after hearing our friends rave about the service, I was shocked (as we all were) that there was no one there to help with the luggage.

This was our fourth cruise with Oceania and we are signed up for another. We enjoy the smaller ships and the service and type of cruise they provide.

Attention to detail, staff demeanor and attention, food, cleanliness of ship, and educational speaker were all excellent. Destinations were slightly disappointing. After huge buildup, we could not approach the glacier because of weather conditions (not the cruise line's fault, I suppose, but created a huge letdown for all the passengers we talked to. Kodiak destination was also not worth the length of the time it took to get there...again weather played a part in this, but the weather is likely to be the same there next time. Our Shore Trip was cancelled 2 or 3 days before we reached Kodia

the only thing we were hoping for and did not get was local food. IE local salmon local crabs local shrimps and prawns local oisters. by their admission all food was imported from florida , so we were served caned or frozen food.

Oceania is very nice, but not clearly superior to other better priced cruise lines. We thought Oceania might spoil us for other cruise lines, but it really didn't.
