The cruise from Athens to Barcelona was a wonderful experience. The excursions were great, the food was delicious and the ship was beautiful. On a couple of our excursions, it seemed that the itineraries were changed from what we had originally signed up for. It wasn’t a game changer, just not what had been listed. We did feel that sometimes the service was lacking. We had to ask to get drinks or refills. Many times glasses sat empty for long periods of time before we could get anyone’s attention to ask. The ship is beautiful and the service is exceptional. All the crew are so genuinely welcoming and helpful.
The food is delicious in all the food venues, but absolutely marvelous in Compass Rose and Pacific Rim. Our cabin was so well thought out and comfortable that even longer cruises would not be a problem.
Our only suggestions would be the excursions on the islands. They were below expectations for Regent; the transportation was sub-standard and they were boring. After the first stop we decided to stay on board the ship for the remainder of the cruise. We did do the Cooking Class on bo
