Everything was nice and the food was good

It was first-rate. The excursions were great, and the guides were super-knowledgeable. The food was top quality, and all of the crew were responsive and friendly. The only suggestion I have is that the evening talk about the next day's activities should stress the name-number of the pier where we will be docked so that it is very clear where a taxi should return us when we've been out exploring on our own.

The trip was supe! The staff was top notch from the captain to the housekeepers. Great food and excursions

Our trip was amazing from the day we left home until the very last day in London. The ship was crystal clean , the food was beyond what I had imagined and the staff worked tirelessly to meet all needs as well as wants for each and every passenger. We had it was the first River cruise my husband and I have been on and honestly will not be our last. We enjoyed it so much we wrote a thank you note to the travel agent for helping us have such a fabulous vacation.

Beautiful views of France along the Seine Paris to Normandy. New friends, excellent crew & staff and very well maintained clean ship.

I thoroughly enjoyed our trip along the Seine. I felt pampered by the excellent crew and learned learned much about France along the way. I wish we had been able to spend more free time in each location. Cruising during the day with the sliding door open was a bonus. We were disappointed that the upper deck rail had been damaged on the trip before ours. All in all an excellent trip

The cruise itself was wonderful. Flight over on Air France premium economy was miserable. Same size seats as economy and they didn't recline. So arrived groggy from overnight flight. Grumpy way to start vacation as couldn't rest on plane. The tours were well planned and arranged. Felt rushed on several tours do to distance and time constraints. Loved Monet's Giverny. All crew and staff, especially Jean Loup, were extremely gracious and help. Would have appreciated an on board dispensary with basic OTC items such as analgesics, cold/allergy meds and meds for gastrointestinal disturbances. Came down with cold symptoms on Saturday evening and no French pharmacies open on Sunday.

What an incredible trip. It was our 1st on Avalon--it was even our first river cruise--and it met and exceeded our expectations. The accommodations, the crew, the food, the tour guides, the busses==everything was just awesome!! We'll be booking more!

Excellent program. Immersive excursions were included. Paris was available at the beginning and end of the cruise. Good fun.

Avalon did a great job coming back after the pandemic. Our river cruise on two separate ships were equally wonderful. Cruise directors were great and helpful. All details from transfers to excursions, and covid tests were all handled by Avalon. Was a wonderful experience.

Overall this was a great cruise---small group of passengers, very willing and able staff, wonderful captain and chef.

The tours, service and food were great on the cruise. Venice host was wonderful. Rome was less crowded. Best tour of Sistene Chapel ever. Avoya travel agent was very helpful in ensuring paperwork, etc was submitted to prevent delays

Wonderful ship, crew, staff, food, and accommodations

Ship staff were super Ship was super clean Activities director was not good..did not like the way he treated us!! Included excursions were not the best..the ones we booked were far better Food fell far short of expectations..pre prepaired food service largely..wines and cheeses were everyone..cheap I would not do or recommend this tour.

Tapestry II was the mirror image of the Artistry II that we did Tulips & Windmills with in March/April this year. We did love the larger room we had on our 1st cruise, but how much time do you spend in the cabin besides sleeping! Our room was 'cozy' (read cramped) but totally functional. Our Cabin Attendant was wonderful. Gayle Walters was the Cruise Director & she was Fabulous! Full of energy, shepaid attention to the tiniest details and had a great sense of humor! She was hands down the VERY BEST we've ever seen at this demanding job! Everyone was totally impressed. Weather in France last week was not terrific. It was cool, wet and windy. Temps were between 9-13 C (49-55 all week) , which was a bit cool for folks from Florida! But we came prepared with fleece for laying,as well as rain gear & umbrellas so we did just fine. Guides for excursions were fantastic too! They all were knowledgeable & professional, giving good insights into French culture & history. Our Biggest excursion was a 10 hr day on the bus to Omaha Beach/DDay sights. We were all very moved, especially at the Cemetery---a trip we all counted as a highlight. The visit to Giverny gardens was delightful, as the Monet gardens were still a riot of colors, although it was late in the season. Other highlights included the walk on the Left Bank and the trip to Malmaison. The weather was cold, wet & rainy in late October/early November, but we were prepared with our LLBean raincoats & layers of fleece. The food on board was amazing! Totally gourmet preparation with great service. It was a good thing that there was lots of walking, so we could walk off the calories from all the butter, cream & pastries. After doing a Galley tour, we had enormous respect for the chef's ability to turn out such wonderful food in such a tiny space. Definitely would do another cruise with Avalon, as they are First Class all the way.

Their trips just keep getting better.

Loved this cruise. Exceptionally great food. Supurb service. At the end of the cruise the transportation to the Charles de Gaulle Airport was exceptional. We were met at the airport by an Avalon representative who walked us to our airline check in and then proceeded to handle the kiosk check in for every Avalon passenger. Service was beyond exceptional!!!

Wonderful time, met new friends, saw beautiful sites!

This was my third Avalon cruise. As expected, I received the same courteous treatment. The foot was great, varied and plentiful. Tours were educational and paced well. Avalon receives my first consideration on river cruises.

Accommodations superior

Wonderful trip! Can't wait for our next River Cruise on Avalon!
