When my 3 sisters decided the four of us should go on a cruise to celebrate the fact that we are all now retired, I worried that I would find it too crowded and cramped. Boy, was I wrong! Thanks to the fantastic service and ample entertainment and activities options, I had a wonderful time. I'm not sure if all cruise lines or individual ships are all this good, but Holland America's Zuiderdam team really has its act together!

Holland America offered all we expected - fine dining, musical venues, entertainment, and exquisite service -

Trip was below my expectations. Very old ship and services sub par. Had a Neptune suite which cost was high. Outside my deck was rusting and cracked

I have taken many cruises and this rates among the top. The crew was happy and helpful and the food was awesome. I did not care for the Italian restaurant but other than that it was great. The entertainment was better than other cruise lines. Lots of activities on board . This is not a cruise for a young thrill seekers. The average age was probably 65 and most were retired. I will definitely book with this line again.

The accommodations in Signature Suite were wonderful. Food on board was not flavorful. Brunch was delicious. We enjoyed the entertainment. Piano Bar entertainment was very good. Our last excursion was less than acceptable. Kennebunkport and Cruise. Cruise was canceled. This was after we already drove an hour to get there when they knew the cruise was not going to go when we were on our way. They could have let passengers decide if they wanted to go or return to ship. We HAD to spend 21/2 hours in town before returning to ship. All NOT ACCEPTABLE! Staff on ship were very courteous. Entertainment director was great! She has so much energy and enthusiasm. She is a keeper!! Beautiful ship!

The ship was very nice and we loved our stateroom. The food was just ok. Our excursions were good except for the last one. We were supposed to take a boat ride in Kennebunkport. There was an issue with low tide and we could not go out. We were not told this until we arrived and were informed that we were spending 2 hours in Kennebunkport, like it or not. How did no one know this ahead of time? We were extremely disappointed in the way this was handled.

A Holland America cruise is designed for the mature crowd with plenty to do if you wish. My husband has mobility issues so some excursions were challenging. However, they indicate the level of challenge so you can choose what works best for you. There were great speakers to keep you informed. Staff that kept you fed, entertained in clean surroundings while smiling. A great enjoyable cruise.

HAL called it the Voyage of the Vikings, which has a little more romance than "Transatlantic/Repositioning". Enjoyed it thoroughly. A few of the stops in small fishing villages in Iceland and Greenland weren't especially memorable, but other stops/excursions in Iceland, the Shetlands, Belfast, Rotterdam, etc. were magical. Entertainment was first class, especially pianist Elliot Finkel and the classical duo on the piano and cello. Lead blues singer could really belt out a song. Cuisine was, of course, exquisite as was the service in Neptune Suites.

We had a wonderful time on our 30 day cruise around the British Isles. We missed going into the port of Guernsey due to stormy weather conditions. Our cabin was spacious with a huge veranda. We ate at all restaurants: the dining room , the Lido, the Dive-In, the Canaletto, and the Pinnacle, and we used room service a few times. All the food was delicious. All the crew were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Absolutely loved my trip! I was never bored and loved the crew, food, RSL bands, cabin etc! Made so many new friends! My only wish is to spend more overnights in some areas and skip some not worth stopping ( a couple of the Africa ports that held us hostage! ) Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Dinner selections poor main stage entertainment good two out of five nights service still meets up to our previous cruises (4star mariners) New Year’s Eve was festive. Never thought we would say this but giving other cruise lines some of our business

There were many wonderful parts to this cruise but some negatives, too. Circumstances beyond the control of the Line caused us to miss a Port of Call; we were behind schedule most of the time. The food was very good but the main stage entertainment was disappointing. On the whole, though , it was a lovely 14 day cruise. The weather was good and the service was excellent.

Every port either ran late or was skipped entirely. One port’s handling can only be described as chaotic.

Crew was wonderful. Food Great.

We had a wonderful and memorable cruise to Alaska. Thanks so much to Susan Clawson for arranging this trip for us. She went above and beyond and we are most appreciative.

Beautiful scenery, fun excursions, lots of time to relax and socialize. Cabin was fantastic, staff friendly and professional. Excellent meals. Would absolutely recommend this trip. U

Unfortunately didn't get to see much wild life but got to see Glaciers
