The itinerary was superb. While accommodations and location were ideal some of the ships amenities and entertainment were not. The buffet was small and congested, the pizza activity was only open 11 to 2:30, breakfast in the restaurant closed at 9 AM, the sports bar didn't open for food until 9:30 PM and the comedian was not funny. The drink package had some excellent choices and the speciality restaurants were very good.

Service and staff were very good. Food was very good. The drink package was well priced and good. Excursions were way too expensive. There was no satellite for several days so were limited to the ships movies. It was Awful, limited and repetitive. Casablanca (1940's) and Fly Me To The Moon were the only movies besides children's/Marvel movies offered. Some of the ship activities were uninteresting. We experienced a couple shows and decided not to see any more. Overall we ended the cruise jokingly saying we've been cured of cruising. Most like will not cruise again unless we win the lottery and money is of no concern.

NCL Sun was average Destination we’re more exotic than what we normally cruise to and also more primitive as we went to Lofu New Caledonia, Vanuatu, and Fiji.

We lucked out with good weather most all days however the stop in Ketchikan had to be cancelled due to unsafe docking conditions amid bad weather. That turned out fine as we had more time in Victoria. The staff are very gracious and efficient. Great experience.

Food selection wasn't to my standards. Service in some venues was extremely slow. Will not sail with NCL again

Loved seeing the beauty of Alaska! Loved spending time with lifelong friends! But, I was not in love with the Norwegian Sun. It is an older ship and that shows. Our ocean view cabin had a shortage of storage and a water leak in the tiniest bathroom ever! The food in the Main Dining Rooms was adequate, but rarely was great. The Chocolate Lava Cake was delicious, and the only dessert I finished! Teppanyaki Restaurant was fun with lots of yummy fun! Internet was spotty. Getting on and off the ship was very easy! Staff was fantastic! Music in lounges was entertaining. Be warned the Sports Bar does not serve food until 10:00 PM! The stop in Ketchikan was too short plus we had to dock WAY out of town! Would I go back to Alaska? Oh, yes! Would I pick the NCL Sun again? Doubtful

Norwegian has picked great ports of call, great excursions for the Alaska Inland Passage.

Ship way to crowded, buffet jammed in couldn’t get near the stuff, also worst food we ever had on a cruise. Even the specialty dinning food was awful..The staff and all workers were top notch, friendly very helpful and energetic..They were wasted on that ship..Done many cruises over last 30 years but this was the worst ever been on, could not go on or recommend NCL..at this time

The flight arrangement from Fl. to Seattle were great. I had arranged to have a ride from the airport to the cruise ship and return to the airport when we returned. when we arrived in Seattle it was hard to find a representative from Norwegian for our transportation. Once I did find them, they transferred our baggage to the ship but locating the bus not easy. Checking in and getting our room keys was a breeze. The food on the buffet was about average. The main dining room food was OK. One meal I could not eat it was so bad and I tried something else. The Japanese restaurant and Cagines restaurant were great. Upon return to Seattle, having our luggage taken from our room and checked in to our flight was great. Also having our boarding passes delivered to our room was an excellent perk.

First time on a cruise for my husband and I. We thought this older couple ought to give it a try. We learned we like our independent lifestyle more than being herded like sheep. The staff was wonderful and that's why the 3 stars. The food was okay. Edible. But it would be better if served hot and toned down the "gourmet". Simple things like eggs over easy were not attainable. The "entertainment", whether game style or Vegas style did not attract us. The excursions were okay. Pricey for what you get. Found they could be had cheaper when you got off the boat. We met lots of people who love to cruise and even some that were staying for the next destination. But overall, it was not our cup of tea.

Food was over cooked, under cooked and served COLD. Discussing! Service was Excellent. Disembarking was horrible. NOT likely to make another cruise...lyle

The excursions weren’t what I thought they would be. They were over price and not as great plus the the drink plan doesn’t include water that was my whole reason for taking a drink plan was to get my bottled water. They don’t even give bottled water anymore. it’s all box and it’s not individual servings Like 16 ounces and you had to pay for that separately so for me the drink plan was not worth it. I had to force myself to drink mix drinks otherwise it was a neice Cruise nice I would go on another Norwegian I just wouldn’t take the drink plan and I’m not sure I would include my tips in it because the employees , don’t get the tips when you automatically put them in cell I had I found that out. Thank you.

all was good until day 7 when our room was being flooded by a burst pipe, and we weren't moved until day 8. Then I flight home was canceled and we spent 24 hours in Seattle airport before flying to Sacramento to Denver

A boat trip around the Canary Islands was extremely successful. All components of the holiday - weather, attractive places, service on board - were extremely satisfying. I recommend this cruise line and route to others.

We had a very good cruise. The staff was great. The meals were superb.

They also cut one of our excursions short.
