Princess Cruises - Emerald Princess Reviews

Our trip was wonderful!!!! Kim and I could not have asked for a better vacation. Believe it or not, we both liked Iceland more than Greenland. Don't get me wrong Greenland was nice but Iceland with its lush landscape and clean villages was absolutely beautiful!!!! I will have Kim send you some of the pictures we took. The staff of the Emerald Princess were incredible!!!!!!!!! They were always helpful and ready to make our experience aboard ship a memorable one!!!!!!!!! I have already filled out the Princess feedback and mentioned a few of the staff that went over and above!!!! Having a smaller ship was also more enjoyable. Compared to our last trip on the Sun, the Emerald was a delight!!!!!!!!!!!!! I understand now the Princess will no longer be going to Greenland so having their last trip there was an experience we will never forget!!!!!!

Food could have been better, was not impressed with quality at all. Our cabin steward was top notch. Got Type A Flu could not get reimbursed for excursion on the Cayman islands.

It was very educational

This was our second cruise, and the itinerary was great! We saw a lot of the Caribbean as well as going through the Panama Canal. One of the highlights was our excursion at Costa Rica to meet the sloths.

Lots to see, especially the amazing Panamá Canal. Ship staff were “the best”. Really impressed with Princess service.

The pool crowded no chairs were available also the stop at Limón Costa Rica was not to our expectations cracked side mildew

Room size and bathroom facilities way too small (I am 6’2”” and 270) Food was very average, often the pre-prepared meals at Bertolini’s were lukewarm to even cool. Basically the boarding was handled very ineptly as we stood for over two hours in the rain waiting to port in Boston. I won’t be cruising on anymore of the “big” ships.

Overall, a decent cruise. Waiters in the Michaelangelo dining room were rude and intentionally slow to service our tables. After 3 nights we stopped eating there and the other 2 dining rooms were very accommodating to our large group, especially the manager of the DaVinci. We have decided there were more people (~4500) than we ever would like to cruise with in the future. The absolute worst 3+ hour embarkation process that any of us have ever experienced so we do not trust that was just a fluke as Princess says because they were the ones who picked the port, dock, and the people working there. The ship was kept very clean, and most staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a room steward that serviced 2 cabins in our group of 7 who was rude and aggressive we had to report, and he was written up and removed from servicing their rooms for a couple of days. Everything else was very satisfactory. 3 of our group including me, came home with covid but we realize it was not the fault of Princess but people who decided to travel sick and spread it to others. The excursions were not that great and the people in charge were pretty clueless like trying to take us to a Halifax museum an hour before it opened and in Portland telling a dozen of us the buses were full and to go back onboard and get our money back when 2 bus guides came up saying their buses were not full and to stop holding people up and get them onboard.

The most disorganized cruise I have ever been on. Waiting for 45 minutes to be seated for dinner with reservation is beyond ridiculous among many other problems on this ship

Food was average. Shows were mostly comedies and none were with acrobats, plats or musc ensembles.

Thanks to Wendy, we had an excellent cruise. Excellent planner, explained all options, making our decision much easier. Truly top class

Started with arriving in heavy rain between 11 and 12. Our suitcase didn't active till after 5pm, damp and top layer of clothes wet. We HD scalding hot water for at least 5 days, we were not the only ones, heard many passengers conversation stating the same. Food fair first few days. Got better later on. Lobster and prime ribs superior. Wait staff and all workers were excellent. Deembankment was a nightmare. Left from terminal 2, arrived at terminal 21. Had very small busses trying to get 3500 passengers to terminal 2 It. Took well over 2 hours to be able to finally leave the port. Never use princess again

All in all it was a wonderful trip and I would do it again

The cruise was great. There was an issue with the shower that was not resolved, after a few attempts but we managed. After 45 cruises I understand that sometimes things might go wrong that just can't be corrected in a day or two.

Food quality and entertainment were excellent. Staff was excellent. Service at MDRs was slow and disorganized. Buffet was just okay. We prefer Celebrity

Overall very pleased with the service, staff, food and lodging. Definitely recommend
