Wonderful cruise. great staff, good food, great entertainment.

The ship has been restored to original charm and beauty. All marble floors and stunning wood work especially around dining room windows. Crystal huge chandeliers abound. They just don’t make these European ships like this anymore. Seats in theater were wide with crystal cup holders at every seat.

Nice 4 night cruise from Tampa

Enjoyed the cruise. Great sleeping out on the seas. The motion of the ocean. The food was a little disappointing, wasn't seasoned enough and the breads dried out. The entertainment was great. The staff was outstanding. Especially the "Washy Washy Lady", her job was to distribute hand sanitizer before entering the buffet. I did not like the preparation before going on the trip I would have liked to get all of my information at one time. It was very easy to miss information because of the way it was sent. I have another cruise planned for next year with Carnival. We'll see how the two compare. Right now I am preferring a resort to cruising.

Ship needs updating..its an old ship. I prefer the more modern cruises. Theatre shows we're not the best that I have seen. Service at the regular restaurant was slow. However the staff was friendly, respectful and willing to help. Special recognition to the staff of grill and steak restaurant. Food was very good, it was my sister's birthday, provided great entertainment. Our sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff. Idewa Putra, my Stateroom attendant, attended to my cabin very well and would like to recognise him for his dedicated and hard work. Kenya, waitress, was excellent in making our meals enjoyable, very pleasant young lady, who showed willingness to help, do extend our thanks and appreciation. The tours I did I enjoyed except for the Talum Myan Ruins. This was a long day out, at least a meal could be included. This tour was not worth the cost we paid. Another site could be added to this tour. We were hungry after walking under the very hot sun just to see one site. The tour guide was good at his part however. The two other tours I did were enjoyable Laminar Mayan and speed boat And mangrove and canal +shrimp boil. Generally I think this ship needs updating, considering how everything is soo expensive onboard. That's my 6th cruise I have never paid soo much for Internet, drink package, massage and tours. Just too expensive! Please review your prices. There are lots of competitors out there with more modern ships. Don't think I will be travelling with Grandeur a second time. Thanks for making the trip safe.

Ship needs a refurb.. The showers are ridiculously small with moldy shower curtain. Windjammer food was meh. MDR dining was fine, but nothing exceptional except the waiters. St Thomas and DR were great, st Kitt and St Maarten were boring. Ship rocked constantly, but shows. Eere good music was good and met good people. So would do it again.. no

Avoya service was top class as usual. We liked the cruise duration and stops. The handling of excluding Bahamas at the last minute was badly managed by Royal. Many in our party were not informed as all. The ship is old and not fit for purpose. It needs a serious refresh. Many items are dated, some rooms very noisy or smelly with sewerage or smoking fumes. On board service was varied. Some were disappointing and not up to Royal standard. A small number of staff were excellent and fully delivered the Royal level experience. The ball is in Royal's court...

Old, rundown ship desperately needs gutted and refitted. My cabin was so tiny and damp, musty and the air conditioning barely kept the room habitable. When I complained about the a/c, I was given a fan. That did help move the hot air around, but certainly did not keep the cabin cool enough. Bathroom had mold/mildew in the corners and rust along the bottom of the door; also much rust inside the closet. Room stewards were great and very attentive. The food was okay, but I expected better, especially in the main dining room. Portions were tiny and the food was often tasteless. The buffet navigation was a complete joke with people going in every direction in the small, crowded space. Some of the desserts were tasty, but most were dried-out and lacking in flavor. Entertainment in the common areas was okay, but did not happen nearly as often as I've seen on other ships. The headliners were definitely amateur, not headliner quality.

The food in the dining room was mediocre. The ship was full and so things were crowded. The best part was the stop at Coco Cay Beach. Everything there was perfect and we had a great day.

First cruise with RC and really enjoyed it. It was well organized with lots of activities and good food.

The crew aboard was fantastic. Despite being short staffed, they worked to make sure we were always taken care of. The drinks were good, bartenders fast, food was good, and the wait staff attentive. The ship itself? That's a whole other story. The boat: - Rock wall closed after first day and didn't reopen due to work being done on the smoke stack - Kid's arcade (not the casino) had a total of 6 machines, 4 of them were out of order. - Kid's rooms overbooked so ages 10-17 were in the teen room free to roam the ship unsupervised. - 2500 passengers with a total combined pool capacity of 100. Hit or miss getting in during peak hours. - Water leaks from the ceiling in the shops and the coffee bar on deck 6 fix was attempted with scotch tape. - 9 elevators on the ship, 5 worked properly. Two of the elevators worked as long as you held the doors shut. - Seals hanging from around windows outside the boat. - Water and rust around the window in stateroom. - Pool open less than 12 hours (8:30am - 8:00pm). - On deck movie started at 9:45 but pool closed at 8pm and bar closed at 10pm. - Every seat in the theater, common area, or indoor bar was torn, stained, and worn out. There were several more things pointing to an aged out ship, but you get the idea. The Grandeur of the Seas is in desperate need of a remodel or retirement. The ship definitely does not live up to it's name and has encouraged me to look at other cruise lines.

what a trip! thanks to Sue Scaletta, we chose this particular trip due to its easy boarding, great ports of call, and nicely equipped ship.

My family had a wonderful vacation aboard the Grandeur of the Sea. The ship was not large and perfect for a restful get away. Patti Edgar did a great job of putting the package together for us. The on board credits were a nice touch! Patti has done other trips for us and always does a great job. We will travel again with Avoya in the future.
