Although Viking has improved by now including beer and wine with meals without extra charge in its cruise package and most of the tours are included, the excessive charge for a pre or post stay is not justified (see above). Also, the Viking suggested tips (gratuities) on a daily basis is excessive and burdensome-its as if the cruise ship's hotel and dining staff are not being paid decent wages by Viking.The two tour directors-Matthew and Michael, were both excellent and added greatly to our travel experience
