Viking River Cruises - Viking Hlin Reviews

This was a great trip on my first Viking cruise. My only recommendation would be to have clearer directions in getting to the ship in Amsterdam on embarkation day. Many thanks to Erin Clark, our Avoya rep who booked our trip.

It was wonderful

We were treated royally onboard and had comforts galore, down to the heated bathroom floor. The food was excellent and we enjoyed trying the regional favorites each day. The castles along the middle Rhein were breathtaking, and cruising was relaxing. We could have done without all the alcohol and liquor though. Our bike ride in Kinderdijk, and going into a working windmill, was a highlight. Hiking in the Black Forest was our favorite moment, but we only had 45 minutes. We would have like 3-4 hours there. There were other cities we wished we could have visited, like Bacharach and Bonn. All in all it was a delightful trip.

Viking did everything they could to make the trip enjoyable under the circumstances

did not like the river boat poor meals bad coffee. service was very good but I will stay with Holland America
