Viking River Cruises - Viking Tir Reviews

Viking is an excellent company. We had a situation where we were unable to stay on the same ship for the entire cruise because of water levels. Viking did an excellent job in making the transfer easy and seamless. The thing that makes this rating a four-star instead of five-star is the level of service on the second ship (Vali) was not the same great quality as the first ship (Tir). We recognize that the personnel were different and tied not to compare, but some things you simply recognize. However, our service with Karen Root, our Avoya agent, is always excellent.

Tour was well organized and run well despite challenges caused by weather. Cruise director Kane was positive and enthusiastic. Meals were great and staterooms comfortable and well cared for. Tours were effectively run with the use of the speaker boxes. I learned a lot about how I could improve my personal experience by taking more time to explore on my own at each port as time allowed. I should have taken pictures of each day's menus to preserve the regional favorites.

Viking is wonderful , their service is unbelievable. The tours, food, and friendliness of the staff is very nice.

This Viking cruise was just as I expected. The boat staff were great; the food was very good; the accomodations were very comfortable; the excursions interesting and manageable; and the risk of COVID was still pretty high. It is a small space and there was a lot of coughing attributed to 'colds'. But, we met a lot of new people and had a good time. It was very relaxing to sail down the river watching beautiful little towns, castles and churches go by.

Sightseeing on Viking ship was beautiful & spectacular.
