Windstar Cruises - Star Legend Reviews

Windstar Legend cruise was superb! Crew to a person were hard working, warm and welcoming throughout the cruise. The itinerary provided a terrific overview of southern Spain and although some bad weather caused some changes in sequence it was of no consequence, tours were great!

Other than the rainy cold weather, this was the best way to see the fjords. Crew were great, particularly Ann Mie (or possibly Mie Ann) who was very attentive to our needs. Sin, entertainment director, was excellent as well.

Our trip with Windstar began perfectly and continued to meet our expectations throughout. All the staff and crew were wonderful - friendly, helpful, remembered our names from day one. The accommodations were very comfortable, food and service were both excellent. The only drawback we found was the cost of the ship's planned excursions on shore. We took none of them, found our own way at each stop and enjoyed every city/village we visited. Our Travel Adviser Richelle Schuetz did a terrific job of making this trip happen. She is truly the best.

Overall OK, but clearly not as good as the previous 3 cruises we have done with Windstar. * The ship has been enlarged it seems and can add an additional 100 passengers. but it seems that the board personnel number is not increased in line with the increased numbers of passengers. * Personnel was clearly more stressed out, and that sometimes affected the interpersonal interactions. * The renewed cabins were excellent and spacious. That was an improvement. * The quantity and quality of the food was somewhat on the low side. The good news of course is that there was no weight gain. * The breakfast area had not expanded, and this caused "traffic jams" during the breakfast peak hours. * Not yet 100% convinced that our next cruise will be with Windstar.

What a great cruise, Lisbon to Miami. 1/2 full so lots of room. But no more December crossing for the Legend, going to the middle east.

16 day Istanbul to Haifa- all stops were excellent, the staff, amenities, etc all very good

Two complaints, our Tour director was very insensitive to my queries about getting lunch the day a tour started at 12. I have a medical condition, I don't eat breakfast, but must eat lunch in the noon hour. The ship dining room didn't open until 12 and there was not talk of any food provided. However, the dining director and managers stepped in, and provided me with a sandwich and then announced the dining area would open at 11.30a on that day. Second complaint, not all the guides were good, particularly the one on the Flam railway and all day tour of Alesund. The others were very good.

Of all the cruises that we have taken, this was undoubtedly the best. Norway is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. The scenery is stunningly picturesque. The Star Legend is an excellent cruise ship. The cuisine and service were consistently great.

Can’t speak highly enough of the Windstar Caribbean cruise on the Star Legend. The staff and crew were exceptional. Would recommend this cruise line without exception. Looking forward to another adventure on Windstar.

Always great to cruise on the Windstar ! l staff and crew are are so sweet, attentive & extremely friendly & just great …. We love the size of the ship and the care and attention to detail that is paid by the entire crew ! The Windstar Cruise Line is always a wonderful experience !!!

The crew was outstanding. Food was terrific. We had an amazing time and we booked our next cruise while onboard.

The captain and staff of the Star Legend were so friendly and professional. The food and drinks extraordinary. Daily laundry service was so convenient. It was clear from the moment we set sail that everyone took pride in their work. Thank you Windstar!

We thought the staff was excellent and so was the food. The problem was that the ship is going into dry dock for refurbishment so they did not replace or update equipment. The ports were typical Caribbean stops. There wasn't much activity onboard especially on the sea day. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves, but it wasn't our favorite cruise.

Food and staff were wonderful but ports left something to be desired. Beach party and deck bbq were lovely. Lack of things to do on board and extremely small "pool" detracted from the experience as well. Sea day had absolutely nothing planned. The fact that if you went off ship and came back later in the afternoon there was only a small snack bar.

Good food, great crew, not enough evening activity.....ports were very disappointing as we were not in main ports ....Sunday in st Martin ,a bust.....every thing is closed

Best captain ever. Maria was excellent at dinner and the bar. Luis keep our room perfect
