My professional career has expanded over 40 years in various administrative positions, from IBM Corp. to nursing home administration and Miami University in Ohio. I retired from full-time work in 2016 and relocated from Cincinnati, Ohio to Cumming, Georgia. That move was the best decision that I made. While still enjoying retirement but needing to fill my days with challenging activities, I knew that I wanted to travel. I asked a friend if she could recommend someone to help me book travel. She replied, “Yes, I can help you, but you can do it yourself.” Immediately, she signed me up to be a travel agent with her company. I was so excited about being able to plan my own travel, see the world and invite others to travel with me. After that experience, I was completely captivated, sold, and all in. In 2022 I started my own business, “Vacations with Distinction, LLC. I joined Avoya Travel in 2025, and I am delighted to be a part of such an innovative and forward-thinking company. My goal is to provide awesome travel experiences for individuals, families, various groups and solo travelers who want to see and experience our amazing world. Everyone should plan some time away from the busyness of life and reconnect with family and friends. Whether the destination is close to home or far away, each of us needs to take time away to relax. I personally care about each person that I assist with travel arrangements. I want them to have the best experience possible, to celebrate that special occasion that creates new memories with friends and families and to give them value-added service.
