Usually the highlight of your cruise vacation is the destination, but with so many exciting attractions and activities on board cruise ships nowadays, days at sea are just as fun. Modern cruise ships offer tons of attractions on board ranging from thrilling slides to golfing on real grass. If there’s an attraction you’re looking for, chances are, it’ll be on a cruise ship. Here are five of the most unique and exciting cruise ship attractions that you need to experience!

    Flowrider, Royal Caribbean

Want to know what it feels like to go surfing in the middle of the ocean? With Flowrider, you can! Flowrider is a surf simulator that is located on Royal Caribbean’s Quantum, Oasis, and Freedom class ships. It feels just like you’re surfing on real waves! Guests can choose whether to surf or boogie board, and you can even book a private lesson (for an additional cost) to make you a surf pro in no time.

    North Star, Royal Caribbean

If you’re not afraid of heights, the North Star attraction on Royal Caribbean ships is a must-do! This attraction is similar to the famous London Eye, and takes guests in a glass-enclosed pod up, down, and over the side of the ship. It doesn’t go very quickly, but it does rise 300 feet above sea level, which is still quite the thrill. The panoramic views from the North Star are truly stunning and are the perfect photo opportunity to remember your trip.

The glass bottomed passageway over the ocean provides a thrilling experience unlike any other, and makes you feel as if you’re walking on water. The SeaWalk is available on the Royal Princess and Regal Princess.
