Best Cruise Deals of October 2026: Promotions Worth Booking This Month

Explore the best cruise deals available in October 2026, including limited-time savings, onboard credit, family promotions, and exclusive offers from Avoya Trav
7 min 30 sec read | Oct 1, 2026

October is a great month to shop for a cruise – even if you have no plans to sail this fall.

Some of the most compelling cruise promotions available in October apply to vacations departing later in 2026, throughout 2027, and even beyond. That means travelers can take advantage of current savings while still planning well ahead.

Travelers can also explore current offers across leading cruise lines through Avoya Travel's cruise deals and sailings.

The catch? Several of October’s biggest promotions expire during the first half of the month. Royal Caribbean, MSC Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, and Avalon Waterways all have offers with early October deadlines.

Below are some of the cruise deals worth considering this month, plus a few things to know before you book.

Offers below were verified as of October 1, 2026. Fares, promotions, and availability can change.

MSC Cruises: Low Fares, Onboard Credit, and Kids Sail Free

MSC Cruises is offering one of October’s most wide-ranging promotions.

Through October 7, eligible bookings can receive cruise fares starting from $199, up to $500 in onboard credit, and Kids Sail Free on select voyages. The Kids Sail Free portion applies to qualifying children age 17 and under traveling as the third or fourth guest in a cabin.

Some individual cruises may be available for even less than the promotion’s advertised starting price. At the time of research, MSC Cruises listed a four-night MSC Seaside cruise to the Bahamas and Ocean Cay departing October 19 from approximately $185 per person.

Taxes and fees still apply to children traveling under the Kids Sail Free offer. The family promotion is also limited to select sailings, and MSC Yacht Club is excluded.

Royal Caribbean: Several Deals Can Overlap in Early October

Rather than offering one primary October promotion, Royal Caribbean enters the month with several offers running at the same time.

Its BOGO60 promotion provides 60% off the second guest’s cruise fare on eligible cruises and runs through November 6. The cruise line’s Kids Sail Free promotion has the same deadline. Qualifying children age 12 and under can receive a $0 cruise fare when traveling as additional guests on eligible cruises of three nights or longer.

Families should pay especially close attention to eligible travel dates. Kids Sail Free includes blackout periods around some holidays, school breaks, and peak summer dates.

Royal Caribbean is also offering additional instant savings on eligible Caribbean and West Coast cruises through October 12.

Because some Royal Caribbean promotions can overlap under specified conditions, it is worth comparing the complete price rather than focusing on any single advertised discount.

Royal Caribbean offers several additional ways to save, including family discounts, instant savings, and onboard credit on qualifying sailings. Explore our guide to Royal Caribbean cruise deals for a closer look at the latest promotions and eligibility requirements.

Princess Cruises: Savings for Couples and Families

Travelers who need more time to plan may want to look at Princess Cruises.

A current promotion available through October 12 offers up to $600 in instant savings per cabin for the first and second guests. Select voyages also include a $0 cruise fare for the third and fourth guests. Required taxes, fees, and other expenses still apply.

The promotion can be particularly useful for families sharing one cabin, although the actual savings depend on the cruise length, cabin category, and eligible inventory.

Current Avoya Travel listings also show Avoya Exclusive Rates and other deal opportunities on selected Princess Cruises departures. These offers vary by sailing and are not guaranteed to combine with the cruise line’s public promotion.

Oceania Cruises: Save Up to 40% on Select Voyages

Travelers considering a premium cruise have a longer October booking window with Oceania Cruises.

The Oceania Cruises Fall Sale runs through November 3 and offers up to 40% off select categories on 120 eligible sailings.

The cruise fare also includes several benefits through Oceania’s Your World Included program. These include specialty dining, shipboard gratuities, and WiFi. Guests can also choose between wine and beer or a shore excursion credit.

The shore excursion credit varies by voyage length and can reach as much as $1,200 per cabin on longer cruises.

That makes the total vacation price particularly important when comparing Oceania Cruises with promotions from other cruise lines. A higher starting fare can include benefits that would cost extra elsewhere.

Celebrity Cruises: Look for Exciting Deals Through October 5

Celebrity Cruises begins October with its Exciting Deals promotion.

The offer refreshes weekly and provides special rates on select cruises and cabin categories. Eligible bookings may be available as cruise-only fares or through an All Included option that can add a Classic Drinks Package and Basic WiFi.

Celebrity Cruises also has a separate offer for qualifying Captain’s Club Elite, Elite Plus, and Zenith members. Eligible travelers can save $1,500 per suite on select Celebrity Flora Galápagos packages when booked by November 5.

?Celebrity Cruises also offers special rates for qualifying travelers, exclusive Avoya Travel savings, and promotions on select Galapagos sailings. Our guide to Celebrity Cruises deals covers these opportunities in greater detail, including additional ways to save based on your travel plans.

Avalon Waterways: Save on a 2026 European River Cruise

October also brings opportunities for travelers interested in river cruising with Avalon Waterways.

Avalon Waterways is offering savings of $3,000 per couple on select 2026 European river cruises through October 12. Another promotion gives eligible travelers a choice between qualifying airfare from $599 or savings of $1,000 per person on selected departures.

For comparison, Avoya Travel listed an October 20 Avalon Poetry II European river cruise from approximately $4,030 per person in a riverview cabin at the time of research. Selected Avalon sailings also displayed Avoya Exclusive deal opportunities.

These promotions focus on 2026 travel, so they are especially relevant for travelers interested in planning a European river cruise relatively soon.

Norwegian Cruise Line: Get Up to $750 in Onboard Credit During the Dash Sale

Norwegian Cruise Line is offering travelers up to $750 in onboard credit per stateroom through its limited-time Dash Sale, available October 6 - 12, 2026.

The promotion applies to select sailings when booking a balcony stateroom or higher. The amount of onboard credit depends on the length of the cruise and the stateroom category.

For eligible cruises lasting six to nine nights, travelers can receive $100 in onboard credit for a balcony stateroom, $150 for a Club Balcony Suite, $400 for a suite, or $500 for The Haven. The maximum $750 onboard credit is available on qualifying cruises of 10 nights or longer when booking The Haven.

As one example, check out this seven-night Norwegian Viva Caribbean cruise departing Galveston on November 28, 2026. The departure falls within the promotional sailing dates, giving travelers an opportunity to receive additional onboard credit when booking an eligible stateroom.

The onboard credit can help offset eligible expenses during the cruise, although it does not reduce the upfront cruise fare. The promotion is limited to qualifying new bookings, and inside and oceanview staterooms are excluded.

Beyond the current promotions, Norwegian offers additional savings opportunities through Free at Sea, reduced deposits, and exclusive Avoya Travel benefits. See our complete guide to Norwegian Cruise Line deals for more ways to save on your next cruise.

How to Compare October Cruise Deals

The largest advertised discount is not always the deal that delivers the most value.

Start by looking at the final price for the exact cruise and cabin you want. Then consider what is included in that price. Onboard credit, gratuities, WiFi, beverage packages, or free fares for additional guests can materially change the total vacation cost.

Families should also price their exact cabin occupancy. “Kids Sail Free” promotions generally apply to qualifying additional guests rather than every child who sails. Taxes and other required charges can still apply.

Finally, check whether an Avoya Travel offer is available in addition to the cruise line’s public promotion. Avoya Travel displays exclusive rates and extras on qualifying sailings across a variety of cruise lines.

A Personal Travel Advisor can help compare available promotions and determine which combination offers the strongest overall value for your particular vacation.

Frequently Asked Questions About October Cruise Deals

Does an October cruise deal mean the cruise has to sail in October?

No. For this guide, an October cruise deal is a promotion that can be booked during October 2026. Your cruise may depart later in 2026, in 2027, or even farther into the future when the promotion allows it.

Are Kids Sail Free promotions completely free?

Usually not. A qualifying child may receive a $0 cruise fare, but taxes, fees, and other required charges can still apply. Eligibility also depends on the sailing, cabin occupancy, and promotion rules.

Can cruise promotions be combined?

Sometimes. Royal Caribbean allows certain promotions to overlap when the booking meets the applicable terms. Other offers may specifically prohibit combining promotions. Celebrity Cruises’ Exciting Deals promotion, for example, is not combinable with other offers.

Does Avoya Travel charge a fee to book a cruise?

Avoya Travel does not charge Avoya fees to book, change, or cancel cruises or tours. Cruise-line cancellation penalties, fare restrictions, and other supplier charges can still apply.

Should I wait until Black Friday to book?

There is no guarantee that the same cruise, cabin, or travel date will cost less during a future promotion. Travelers with fixed dates or specific cabin preferences may want to compare the current total price with the risk that preferred inventory becomes unavailable later.
