Celebrity Solstice

405 Reviews
Celebrity Cruises

The Solstice is one of Celebrity Cruises most awarded ships and the first in the line to debut the exciting and versatile Lawn Club space, an acre of real grass on the ship's top deck. During the day, it's the perfect spot for a picnic or a quick game of bocce, and at night, it's a great place to grab a drink and listen to some live music. The Lawn Club is just one of the innovative and thoughtfully designed spaces that set this ship apart. Other cutting edge touches include Infinite Verandas, which serve to virtually eliminate the boundary between some staterooms and the sea, and Le Petit Chef, an interactive restaurant that's like nothing you've ever experienced.

Whether you're watching a movie under the stars, taking in a production in the Solstice Theater, or enjoying a treatment in the Canyon Ranch Spa, you will be treated to first-class service and five-star amenities. Celebrity Cruises prides itself on developing cruise ships that rival the best resorts on land, and Solstice is no exception. The outstanding service and luxurious accommodations are designed to make every cruiser feel like a VIP, and thanks to the wide variety of entertainment and recreation options available, you'll be able to design a vacation that is perfectly tailored to you.

Onboard Experience

Dining

The Solstice prides itself on taking dining to a whole new level with innovative cuisine and dining experiences that go beyond the usual cruise fare. Grand Épernay Restaurant, the ship's main restaurant, aims to dazzle with a two-story wine tower and glittering chandeliers, which lend an old Hollywood vibe. On Deck 5, are several other dining options including Tuscan Grille, which serves up traditional Italian dishes with a contemporary spin, and Murano, where you'll find classic French cuisine with some dishes prepared tableside. While all of the onboard restaurants offer something special, the star of the show is certainly Le Petit Chef, an incredibly unique and immersive dining experience. Offering a true fusion of dining and entertainment, Le Petit Chef uses 3D mapping technology and custom table animation to take diners as young as eight on a fun and educational journey as they eat.

Entertainment

There is no end of things to keep you busy aboard Solstice as you sail between ports. Evening entertainment options range from full-scale, Broadway-style productions in the Solstice Theater to intimate jazz performances in the Ensemble Lounge. Those who prefer something more interactive may want to check out the Silent Disco that takes over the Martini Bar once or twice during each cruise. On Silent Disco nights, tables and chairs are cleared away and each dancer receives a pair of glowing headphones that can be tuned to one of three different music stations. Given the different musical genres dancers are hearing in their ears, dance moves vary wildly, making the Silent Disco a pretty entertaining event even if you're not on the dance floor. Daytime fun includes cruise favorites like game shows, wine tasting classes, and dance lessons as well as the one-of-a-kind glassblowing exhibition, which is held in a dedicated space on Deck 15.

Fitness & Recreation

Thanks to Canyon Ranch Fitness at SEA, there's no need to abandon your workout routine during your cruise vacation. The elite fitness center is equipped with state-of-the-art cardio including recumbent bikes, ellipticals, treadmills, and rowing machines. The fitness center's floor-to-ceiling windows ensure that you can keep your eyes on the horizon as you get in your daily sweat session. The fitness center also offers exciting group classes like Zumba and cardio boxing. Thanks to the variety of equipment and classes available, the gym is welcoming to all cruisers, regardless of fitness level. If you prefer to workout outside, you'll find a running track on Deck 14 and a basketball court on Deck 15.

Spa

A cruise vacation is the perfect time to indulge in a little pampering and the Canyon Ranch Spa offers the ideal setting for some self-care. Open daily from 8am to 8pm, the spa offers a full menu of treatments and salon services as well as wellness classes that can help you detox your diet or begin a meditation practice. In addition to traditional treatments like massages, facials, and wraps, Canyon Ranch Spa offers acupuncture and a variety of med spa services. All services can be prebooked up to 60 days before departure. The spa facilities include a relaxation room, solarium, Persian Garden, and a lap pool.

Shopping

Picking up souvenirs in your ports of call is something to look forward to, but don't sleep on the great shopping available on Solstice. When you're in the mood to pick up a few souvenirs or even just window shop, you'll want to make your way to the Promenade Deck where you'll find the Shops on the Boulevard or to Galleria Boutiques on the Entertainment Deck. You'll find high-end brands selling the latest fashions, luxury watches, and fine jewelry. Solstice is even home to the first-ever Tiffany's at sea! If you're looking to expand your art collection, make sure to check out one of the lively art auctions. Remember, as long as the ship is at sea, onboard shopping is duty-free!

Kids

Children and families will feel right at home aboard Solstice, thanks to the extensive kids programming available and several spaces designed exclusively for use by kids and teens. Kids aged three to five can participate in ShipMates, which offers organized activities like treasure hunts, dance parties, and arts and crafts. The Fun Factory is where cruisers aged six to eleven will go for relay races, pizza parties, karaoke, talent shows, gaming and more. The XClub is dance club and coffee shop for kids aged 12 to 17. Teen programming includes theme parties, team trivia, and scavenger hunts. In-room babysitting is also available for little ones as young as 12 months as long as mom or dad remains on the ship.

Casino

In keeping with the ship's sophisticated atmosphere, the Fortunes Casino on Solstice aims for an ambiance that is more Monte Carlo than Las Vegas. If you plan to spend a lot of time trying your luck there, you may want to look into joining the Blue Chip Club, which comes with benefits like complimentary concierge service and the ability to earn points that can be redeemed for free casino play. Less experienced gamblers can take advantage of complimentary lessons on games like poker and blackjack. In addition to video poker and slot machines with bets as low as one cent, Fortunes Casino also boasts a variety of table games including roulette, baccarat, and blackjack.
