Part of Norwegian Cruise Line’s ‘Freestyle Cruising’ philosophy is to make sure you’re always comfortable. Onboard a Norwegian Cruise Line sailing, ‘resort casual’ is the typical dress code, which means you’re welcome to wear whatever you want, whenever you want. By offering a wide range of entertainment and dining venues, Norwegian Cruise Line ensures that any area of the ship can fit your personal style.
During daytime, casual clothes such as shorts, jeans, and sundresses are appropriate. Swimsuit attire is even welcome at the poolside grill. In the evening, a variety of attire is acceptable – it is up to you to wear what you want. No matter where you are on the ship, you can also feel free to sport a nice jacket or evening gown for that special occasion. Just wearing shorts or jeans is fine too, however is not permitted in any of the specialty restaurants.
*Wearing comfortable walking shoes is also highly recommended for days in port, as is bringing extra bathing suits, sun block, sun visors, and other types of sun protection.
