Our cruise on AmaDara on the Mekong Delta through AmaWaterways was a unique experience. Starting with our travel agent Chris Ahrens from Avoya Travel who picked the perfect cabin and was available to answer all of our questions to all of the wonderful AmaDara staff who pampered us during the pre, cruise and post land tours in Vietnam and Cambodia. The Sofitel hotels were luxurious with delicious breakfast buffets. The tour guides were informative and personable, sharing their life stories with us. The many all inclusive shore excursions and tours gave us a chance to learn the country’s history and meet the local people. The cruise manager Tung Do went above and beyond ensuring with consummate professionalism and patience that all of our needs were met. The cruise staff knew all of our names after day one and were always welcoming, warm and friendly. I would highly recommend this trip as a great introduction to Vietnam and Cambodia and it’s warm and welcoming people.

We had a great trip on the Amadora. The ship and staff were top notch as expected from AMA. The pre and post trip were amazing also.

The ship was older compared to newer cruise ships. But the staff was excellent, super friendly, and especially Hotel Director, Markus, who was very accommodating and had great sense of humor.

The boat was beautiful; the tours were very educational. We loved the staff; they were very helpful and always smiling. The wellness side of the cruise was wonderful: Facials, Massages, and exercise classes. You never felt like you were paying too much for these services. The food was amazing for a cruise; they had many Asian and international choices. You never felt over-stuffed, and everything was fresh. The ports were very educational; you got to see the world in a different light. The ports emersed you into a culture that many westerner people can not imagine living in. My only regret is that we did not do the post cruise to Angkor Wat and Hanoi. I would have loved to have continued on.

The river cruise was great and there was plenty to eat with my new special diet and a wide variety of excursions to learn about Vietnam and Cambodia. I feel that AmaWaterways should let potential guests know that it is NOT a good cruise to take if you have mobility issues. There is not an elevator onboard and some of off ramps to and from the ship were less than desirable due to lack of infrastructure in these developing countries. My only disappointment came with added on post trip to Angkor Wat. AmaWaterways set up the air transportation but booked us earlier in the day before the excursion into Angkor Wat was over. We missed out on one of those "do not miss" parts of Angkor Wat due to the flights leaving 5 hours earlier than they should have. Otherwise, would recommend the Mekong River Cruise with AmaWaterways.

the AMADARA is a great ship with spacious rooms. there is plenty of storage which is not true of all river boats. The food is A+ as is the staff. All our day visits were thoughtful and well planned. There is a great upper deck and a Yoga instructor. Perfect trip.

Well planned - excellent accommodations - great staff

We loved everything about this trip. The hotels, the guides, the excursions, the ship, the crew-absolutely everything. Our best trip ever!

AMA Waterways always does a great job. Excellent food provided, despite operating in a difficult environment.

It was an amazing adventure; very different than any other river cruise. All the accommodations and tours and guides were first class. The cruise director AK was very competent.

Our Mekong River cruise exceeded our expectations. The Crew was extraordinary as were the guides. It was overall, a wonderful experience.

This is an excellent way to visit Vietnam and Cambodia. We had excellent local guides that really helped us have a better understanding of the countries and the people. The guide highlights were Sokun in Cambodia and Rose in Vietnam, both were friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable.

A very enjoyable trip. Chilly, wet in Hanoi, hot and humid in Cam and Saigon. Be sure to see VN Women's museum in Hanoi, if you have chance

Interesting tour. Not perfect but interesting

This is the best cruise company I have ever been.

The trip down the Mekong was extremely interesting, visiting villages along the way. Very educational about the culture of SE Asia. The cruise ship was wonderful with excellent staff and service. I've only been on one other river cruise with a different cruise line and AmaWaterways was just as good and a bit better in some ways such as the size of the room and attentiveness of the staff. I also liked having a fitness center on board and spa services on board. The meals were delicious. I wish I could have gotten internet service in my room instead of having to sit in the lounge.

We had a wonderful trip! The staff, crew and accommodations were top notch. What an amazing part of the world. A do not miss bucket list experience!
