Our experience with our trip was wonderful

No coffee makers in room. Cabin was nice with balcony Wine and spirits collection was underwhelming some that are available in US grocery store. The pool was not heated as advertised. Truffle farm tour was not as informative as expected. Service was top notch and cruise director was great. (Dragon should do dance classes) Decor was elegant and relaxing. Food was good.

I enjoyed the cruise and the excursions. The menus on the ship were very good. The crew were very friendly and helpful. The guides were good for the cities.

We were scheduled to sail up the Rhône from Arles to Lyon, but the river was too high for the ship to sail. The staff on the ship did an outstanding job of rescheduling our time with bus tours, wine tastings, excursions, etc. The beautiful AmaKristina was our home base while we explored all over the south of France. The tours were informative and educational, and the meals on the ship were outstanding. From the moment we stepped off the plane, we were well cared for during the entire journey. I will definitely book with AmaWaterways again, and hopefully be able to actually sail on the river!

We loved Paris and the cruise from Lyon to Arles. The guides were all excellent and the ship, crew, cruise manager and food aboard the ship were all excellent as well.

All aspects of the cruise exceeded my expectations! I strongly recommend this cruise to anyone who wants to obtain a wonderful French experience.

Wonderful food, wine and food tastings, two excursions every day! Marvelous crew and cruise director. We had a great time!

First of all, Chris Ahrens was amazing as our travel agent. So quick to reply and very knowledgeable on her craft. Although, our trip was dampened by our luggages having missed to be transferred to our last leg of flight. Waited for 3 days for them but Amawaterways, made sure to follow up and we are given some personal kit that would help us go thru the days while waiting for our luggages. Our cruise manager, Nicoleta S. Was so personable. We love her! Although, the group to our Land tour to Paris was separated because Amawaterways was not able to get the two car trains exclusively just for us since there were lots of passengers, I guess. That was just the discomfort but Nicoleta made sure to visit us and stayed with some time to during the trip and she went back and forth to update us where to meet at the station once we disembark. The food are great but wishing that there will be more fusions. Ship staff are ok, friendly but our last trip in Ama Magma were awesome! Much friendlier! Overall, we had awesome time as always!

Really enjoyed the stops and excursions along the Rhone river. And of course, the staff on the AmaKristina were fantastic. Missed out of Chefs Table though. We went on Day 2 to book and the only thing left were the last 2 nights (Captain's Farewell Dinner and our Last night in Lyon which we had already booked a restaurant). It sure would be nice if we could request the Chef's Table ahead of getting on the ship to avoid not having a spot available.

Overall trip was well organized to where, once we booked and selected our land tours, everything went smoothly. Staff and directors were approachable and accommodating. My only reason for a 4 rating (vs. 5) is that electricity to our room went off in the middle of our last night onboard and we had to flag down a staff person who happened to be walking down the hall so it would be restored.

This is our third river cruise with AMA. The crew, the food, the service, the excursions, the cabin were awesome! As always. And as expected. But starting the cruise for 2.5 days in Lyon was 1.5 days too many. The itinerary would have been so much more enjoyable spending more time in Arles or Avignon rather than in Lyon would have made the cruise perfect.

Excellent from start to finish. Experienced and well trained personnel, great accommodations and good food. Great shore excursions. Have now experienced AMA twice, both with my having the same experience. Can’t wait for a third.

Overall it was a great trip and we were blessed with good weather. Our only dissapointment was the with the service in the reataurant. I don't know if there was a lack of staff or not trained that well, but things could have been a bit smoother. Many off us all suggested that there should be set dinner times. Have a 6pm seating, 7pm seating etc. That would make it so much easier for the kitchen staff and the wait staff. Our cruise manage was fantastic! Ferran Vazquez was so knowledgeable with all areas of the trip, from Paris to Barcelona. Hope to have him again on another cruise. AmaKristina is a beautiful ship and the captain, well what can I say (so handsome).

It was very dissapointing no t being able to cruise for 7 days. Fentin our cruise director made up for it though. He moved like lightening getting us excursions and hotel rooms. I have never been on an Ama river cruise and hope to use my credit to go to Egypt. The French strikes were pretty bad and Ama made it up to us.

The places we visited were an interesting mix of beautiful scenery, culture, history and food. The excursions were very informative and fun and well paced. Luckily the weather cooperated and was pleasant. Re the ships, I liked the Amakristina better because the staff was very attentive, coordinated and friendlier than on the Amacello. The food was better on the Amakristina too. Kris and Ama did a good job dealing with the changes we experienced due to the strike problems in France. Didn't like the long bus rides but I know they were unavoidable and they were a proper solution to our unexpected problems. Barcelona was such a wonderful energetic city and I'm glad we included it. The 2 excursions there were worthwhile too. I want to go there again.

The AMA cruise was wonderful and had all the great service that is expected of AMA. The only problem with the trip was with the air that was included in the overall price. On our outbound itinerary where we were scheduled to travel from Vegas to Philadelphia to Dublin to Lyon. In Philadelphia our American flight was delayed due to a fuel leak and then further delayed to change planes for four hours. This made us miss our flight from Dublin to Lyon. American Airlines re-routed us to Frankfurt, which we barely made because of the connection. As a result, the airline lost our baggage for at least 4 nights…almost halfway through the cruise. Our r Ethernet trip from Marseille to London to Vegas on British Airlines was all good connections. The AmaKristina crew was superb through everything and was super in assisting us. The multiple connections flying to Lyon was the significant issue and should have been reserved with less connections by AMA Air Service. Once again the AmaKristina crew and staff was fantastic and did everything to assist us.

Absolutely exceeded expectations. Cruise Director and crew were wonderful, food & wine were delicious. Sights and excursions were lovely.
