The trip was from Budapest to Bazell via Vienna and Frankfurt and eight or 10 other towns along the rivers. The ship was extremely comfortable and the food was wonderful. The crew could not have been more helpful and professional. The circumstances of the low water levels in the rivers created some challenges that their crew handled wonderfully and did not allow to disrupt the trip.

Fabulous trip, and arranged beautifully by Lynne Chrismas, our travel agent with Avoya. Even after a very late arrival, the boat met our after midnight flight in Budapest. Boat was comfortable, food was fabulous, and the help on board could not have been more generous and helpful. Our on shores tour groups were smaller than the groups from Viking which made traveling on Avalon more desirable to us.

We tested Positive two days into our trip and were dropped off in a very nice Mariott hotel in Cologne, Germany where we spent 12 days. The Avalon people were very supportive and helpful where they could be. We will rebook the trip in the future.

Had a fabulous time, the cruise line lived up to our expectations again. Staff and Cruise Director were amazing. Some of our stops were like walking into a storybook. Can't wait to spend another vacation with Avalon!!

Cruise was first class. Scenery, excursions and guides were excellent. Everyone employed by Avalon were wonderful.

This was a great river cruise. The ship was new and well appointed. The staff was always cheerful and helpful. The food and wine on board was exceptional. The tour director is the best in the business and the best in the Avalon fleet.

Excellent service from everyone on board specially our good friend Jakob. Excursions were super. Will do it again.

We went with 3 other couples and had a great time. Would have liked to stay on the ship for a few more days. We are looking to plan a longer trip in the future. I'm Hungarian and this was extra special to me and my sister who was one of the other couples.

Amazing experience

Again, attention to detail.

We were pampered and treated at all times like royalty. The cruise director arranged all the excursions flawlessly. The local guides were knowledgeable and the coaches were always on time and exactly where they were supposed to be. The food, which incorporated local cuisine most days was not only 5-star, but the portions were reasonably sized.
