Avalon Impression Budapest to Prague was a wonderful trip.There were 6 of us, all family, ages 34 to 70, loved the ship and the shore visits even more. Staff was great, rooms big and very clean. Tour guides knowledgeable. No problems with water levels on the Danube. Our family loves castles, museums and pubs. We were able to do all that. Especially pre cruise in Budapest, we were there a few days early, stayed at D 8 Hotel. Post cruise a few days in Prague.

Great in all ways!

Our 6 night cruise stopped in Vienna Austria - Melk Austria - Passau Germany - Regensburg Germany and Nuremberg Germany - the Avalon Ship Impression certainly left an impression on us in a great way. The staff was wonderful to work with and the food was delicious. The accommodations were top notch and we loved the intimate experience. Thank you Avalon for doing it right! The tours in each city were very enjoyable and very organized. Our Cruise Director Mihai was the perfect person to keep us informed and motivated - and had such nice surprises for us - Elena our Hotel Manager looked after all of us with such care - the Captain was very visible and we appreciated his expertise and thank him and his crew for sailing us up the Danube safely!!!!! We will absolutely think about Avalon when we plan our next France journey.

First riverboat, now I’m a convert.

This trip surpassed all expectations. The ship was lovely, the staff was attentive and fun to have around, the towns visited and the excursions were all wonderful.!

Great ship (Impression), great crew, great food. Beautiful excursions to see Christmas markets. Snow during trip set the mood. Extra nights at end in Zurich was perfect way to end the trip.

My Avoya agent made getting on this cruise seamless and trouble free. We just weren’t as “wowed” on the Visionary as we were on last Viking cruise. The locations were perfect, the room was always spotless, but the food was not. Seemed that presentation of the meal mattered more than the flavor. But again, the destinations were exactly what we wanted, and they got us there safely.

Itinerary, local guides, crew, ship, meals, and Christmas markets were awesome!!

I thought we booked 9 days Europe cruise, 2 pre-night in Budapest; besides we got airport pick up, drove us to our hotel. From Oct 7 -9 we were on our own, we couldn't got hold of anybody from Avalon, even with hotel's help. After day 8th, we arrived Deggendorf, our friends continued to Prague for their post cruise days, Avalon seemed took care of their extra days of staying. Personally I don't like to book 7days cruise; we have to travel so far (LA - Europe) I wouldn't think it worth it. There must be some misunderstanding about this cruise which I booked years ago to celebrate my retirement. Oct 14, my husband started his cold, Oct 15 I got it, We quarantine ourselves 2 days in our cabin, visit Linz hospital ER while other people went on excursions, we experienced the worst vacation ever. Please explain what went wrong with our 2 pre-nights, and why there was nobody we can contact on Oct 8 & 9, if there is any misunderstanding, I could had someone explained the situation, instead of we waisted whole day just in case Avalon showed up. I gave a two stars because your crew are very nice. House keeper Mirela, server in the dining room Asel, cruise director Thomas, and Ansar. They all had done a excellent job.

Our Romantic Rhine River Cruise with add-on days in Lake Como and Lucerne was the best vacation we have ever taken. We actually started in Paris for 3 days for our 40th Anniversary then went on to Como. Every single excursion we took was great! We couldn’t ask for a better trip

I highly recommend this river cruise. It was a great experience, and we will definitely take another cruise with Avalon.

The Impression is a lovely boat with excellent food and service. The bed was very comfortable. The onboard keyboard player was also very good. The only aspect I found somewhat disconcerting was the excursions. The written titles in the booklet of the included and optional tours did not match the titles that the cruise Director used when she discussed the tours which was very confusing. It made it difficult to figure out what to sign up for and also to remember what I had signed up for. Definitely communication was an area in need of improvement.

Spectacular experience in every respect. I am already looking to book our next Avalon cruise.

First cruise was first class

It was an expensive trip and the "active" program really did not work out well at all. Missed out on other stops in order to have the active option, which one day was rained out and really toooo hot for most of the others. I would not recommend the Active Cruises.

While there were problems with water levels Avalon adjusted and provided an exceptional river cruise. One particular point to make is that the tour guides were exceptional, well informed and provided many interesting informational facts during their tours. Our on-board tour director was also the best we have experienced.

Avalon River Cruises (the Impression)is a wonderful ship and way to travel. The ship is immaculate and the staff were wonderful.
