This was our second river cruise, both with Avalon. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and being on an Active and Discovery tour. One regret was not being able to hit another country by stopping in Bratislava, Slovakia, since we sailed right by. Even if there had not been many available excursions, we would’ve liked the opportunity to explore on our own for a full or half day. However, we enjoyed all of our other stops and especially liked the small towns. We appreciated the opportunity to dock long enough to explore some of them on our own as well. The staff and crew were wonderful! Most of the servers were very friendly and interactive and seemed to enjoy their jobs. Our accommodations were clean and comfortable and the housekeeping staff was always very timely with their jobs when we were dining or out and about. One suggestion might be to have a database that guests can voluntarily post their contact information so that others may stay connected. We were disappointed to not have obtained some contact info from other wonderful passengers, especially if we happen to travel in their hometowns in the future. It’s always great to have a connection to someone when traveling, especially overseas. Two thumbs up (actually four thumbs) for another wonderful river cruise in Europe! We look forward to another adventure with Avalon/Globus.

Spent one night in Paris at the Pullman Hotel Eiffel Tower before boarding. The hotel was in a great location right next to the Eiffel Tower, perfect for sightseeing. Once onboard the crew made sure everything was taken care of. Cabins, food, excursions and everything you could think of was on point. Highly recommend Avalon and Avoya.

The crew was great- anticipating everything and cordial at every turn.

Avalon is a very experienced cruise line. The crew was cordial and, at times, quite entertaining. The cruise director went above and beyond creating a pleasant atmosphere. I enjoyed every aspect of the cruise and tours and will definitely tour with them again.

We just returned from a 2 part cruise, North and South of French rivers. Both ships were very nice, crew and staff were great.

The trip was all we had hoped and more. The ship's crew members were untiringly attentive to details. Our cruise director had everything firmly in hand so each excursion happened as planned and we were led by knowledgeable guides who patiently answered questions and tailored the tour to the group's interests and abilities, from providing more detail about a place we were seeing or adjusting the walking speed. On-board lectures and demonstrations were clear, interesting and enriched our experiences of the places we were to visit. Food was outstanding and allergens clearly marked. Overall, a stress-free vacation and we're looking forward to our next adventure on Avalon.

This was our first river cruise and it was simply WONDERFUL! the service and accommodations, FOOD & drink, but oh my the experiences!! Just grand. So much history, charm and friendliness. Truly enjoyed sailing with Avalon and they will be our GO-TO for cruising in the future!

We have just returned from an Avalon cruise which originally was scheduled to utilize the tranquility 2 ship. Due to extremely low water levels our ship was changed at the last minute. It was still a lovely ship so this was not an issue. The routing of our trip was also changed but we managed to seamlessly see all the cities on our itinerary via coach transport from our canal docking locations. The Cruise Director, Katy, was incredible and explained all the changes as we went along. Excellent service on board too and delicious food. We will definitely do an Avalon cruise in the future

My brothers and I took our elderly dad on the Rhine cruise and we loved it. Great food and wine, friendly crew and beautiful scenery. We also marveled at seamanship exhibited by the skilled captain. The excursions were fun and manageable for a senior. The boat was very nice - clean, quiet and stable. Highly recommended!

Even though the weather was a little sketchy it was a wonderful trip all the way around. Everything about the ship was excellent

A week of amazing Christmas markets, great dining and tours. Highly recommended!

I can’t say enough about how wonderful the entire Avalon Rhine River Cruise was! The staff, the accommodations, the food, the day trips, everything was above and beyond what we imagined!! Thank you for an awesome adventure.

This was a beautiful trip and I met lots of new friends. It was perfect to have a gentle walking group! I loved all the tours and the food.

The Avalon ship was beautiful. Our cruise director was warm, friendly, very organized and knowledgeable. The staff on the ship were top notch. I don't know how the ship could have been any better. The excursions were well planned, always prompt.

We feel for the extra money it cost other cruise lines are just as good.

Everything was top notch. The staff, the ship, the food, and the cruise Director was perfect. Would highly recommend trip.
