Great trip all around. The short cruise was very nice and met all of our expectations The longer land tour was equally great

The service from staff was terrific and the food in the dining room and lido area was very good. I was disappointed with the entertainment nightly. This is the only criticism I have. Holland America cruises in the past have had terrific entertainment.

A great time!!

We saw so many new things from blood sap tree, to meeting of the waters, to indigenous people to great cultural shows, to insects galore on the ship as we traveled down the Amazon! Piranhas fishing was exciting, stops and excursions were great and ship itself was good experience. So glad we took this trip.

Ship was very comfortable; shore-time was very good as well.

I had some hesitation about committing to a lengthy cruise with several sea days, but life aboard the Zaandam was never boring or without activity. I especially enjoyed the spontaneous interviews with various officers and the video presentation City on the Sea. Experienced cruisers complimented the meal selections, and I appreciated the smaller portions — satisfying hunger while eliminating waste.

The overall on this trip was wonderful! We could not have asked a better weather.

Roberta was an excellent Avoya travel advisor. She helped us book our vacation. Ship was nice. I like the size. We had excellent weather except for one day. Food was tasty and pretty. The ship was packed, and crew seemed extremely busy. (Our only other HAL cruise was last March to Panama, where tourists had to prove they were vaccinated.) Unfortunately, my husband caught Covid a couple days before our trip ended in Boston last week, but the medical center workers, guest services, and room service people handled everything very well. They were all very kind. Unfortunately, we were in a small inside cabin, and I caught it after we got home.

We had a very good trip. We loved the entertainment on board, which was exceptional. Our only complaint was the size of our cabin, which was too small and oddly configured. That may have been a consequence of the age of the ship. As always, we got wonderful, personal, and highly professional service from Avoya travel agent Shane Biesemeyer. We can't say enough good things about him.

What a wonderful way to travel across country with great food, travel companions and a staff that went out of their way to serve you. HAL, you hit a grand slam, a hole-in-one, the winning goal and a half court shot.

It was nice to have so many ports of calls. the ship was nice, but they were lacking activities to do

The highlight of our cruise was the Namib desert and the creatures that live in that harsh environment. Our other favorite stop were the Cape Verde Islands.

Had a beautiful trip through Canada. Unfortunate weather issues changed the itinerary. Will be seeing Holland America again

I don't see how in this day and age the crew had to wear masks.
