From the time Kevin (Travel Agent) began to make arrangements, until disembarking this trip was flawless! The price was incredible, the food was varied , flavorful and beautifully presented and service delightful.

Loved the food, the ship, the game shows, entertainment, etc. The ship was clean. MSC's private island was awesome! The staff were extremely polite but most weren't very knowledgeable about the ship, shows, or anything going on. About half the waitstaff and bartenders went out of their way to help you and the other half pretty much hid or used "tunnel vision" to purposely not see you. In the buffet, the wait staff would hangout at the bar with their backs to you (laughing and joking) acting as if they were waiting for the orders they put in but then later would walk off with no drinks on their trays. We were walking up to the Sky Bar when a couple walking away said, "Good luck getting a drink here!" We sat down and three other people came to the bar and got drinks and left before I finally spoke up. Other than the bad service from about half of the waitstaff/bartenders, we really enjoyed our cruise. We will cruise with MSC again and will recommend them to our friends. (Already have, actually.)

Poor Service, Slow or Not Working Elevators, Low Quality Food, Everything Needs a Reservation (shows, gym, etc.) or you can't get in. You also never see your cabin steward, so you don't know who the person is as they don't make any appearance while you are around or introduce themselves. 1 star given as the shows were good.

Loved the ship - very pretty and spacious. Wonder why so many overpriced shops and no shops that cater to the casual user - would be nice to have somewhere to shop on board to purchase such items as cold medicine. The dining room was nice but crowded. Food was barely eatable either under or over cooked. Service was extremely slow to the point that we were asked to vacate before we had our desert to make way for the next seating. Charge for everything including shuttles to the city at each port - charging 18 euros for a bus shuttle is just highway robbery. The buffet restaurant was a pleasant surprise with lots of choices for food and lots of seating. While the ship had over 5000 passengers it was not crowded due to its size but made it quite comfortable. The announcements in 6 languages was quite annoying but that is the price you pay for boarding an Italian ship that primarily caters to Europeans.

Fantastic cruise. First time experiencing one and it will definitely not be my last one. MSC really helped to make the whole experience a truly enjoyable one. Money very well spent.

The ship is beautiful, customer service is not up to cruise standards, no one understands English, I guess only when they want to. For 14 nights most of the night it was a banging noise notified customer service nothing was done. Several times they’ve added things to my bill that I did not purchase had to wait an hour most of the time in line at customer service. Not enough help at the Desk. Every day I ordered breakfast and didn’t get what I requested, don’t know if the waiter is writing it down clearly or what but my breakfast was always different than what I asked for.

Well designed.

The cruise was fine but it was oversold and understaffed in the yacht club some nights we couldn’t eat till 9 pm , way to many children on board we will never travel in the summer again. The food was fine the variety was limited, the help was wonderful couldn’t do enough for you

Our first inside cabin (Yacht Club) was excellent. The staff in Yacht Club all went above and beyond! I found I didn’t miss my balcony as much as I thought I would. This was my 3rd YC on MSC and second on the Seashore. Food was very good and drinks excellent in the lounge. They do however need to improve their wine selection. They never want to give you a wine list. The pool area and grill are top notch and my favorite place for breakfast. Can’t wait to sail again!

Great experience and all 10 in our party thoroughly enjoyed it. We have sailed on 15+ mainstream cruises in the past on NCL, HAL, RC, and Carnival and we enjoyed this way more than HAL (their cruises tend to be boring and for the much older group (aka ‘heavens waiting room’), nicer than Carnival, and similar to NCL and RC. Meals were all great and on par for a mainstream cruise line. We had an Aurea Experience aft wraparound balcony suite and enjoyed the little extra perks like anytime dining and free spa area access (and we’re not typically spa people!). Entertainment was very good and the ship and venues were all very nice with more Italian flair than most other cruise lines. The show holds over 5,600 guests and our cruise had over 4,000 but the ship rarely felt too crowded during the week. Spreading people across 19 decks does a better job than most cruises with only 12-13 decks. Issues or concerns would be with the slow embarkation (3+ hours of waiting) and our cabin was always a bit warmer than we hoped for (but others in our group had the same type of aft wraparound balcony cabin without the same issue). A $10 USB fan from Amazon did a great job to help with this. The cruise also had more international guests than most cruises leaving from the US. Typical Cruises from the US are about as diverse as a trip to Omaha, NE with 85%+ being US citizens. On this cruise, that number was likely closer to 55%. No issues for us, but if you’re not use to hearing 3 different languages being spoken in the elevator at once, it’s a different experience. The main initial reason for booking this cruise over a NCL that also left from Miami on a comparable ship was value. Getting 3 nice suites is never cheap, but NCL’s ‘free’ offer doesn’t turn out to be a good value when you want the drink package and their cabin prices have gone way up. The gratuity on NCL was over $1,600 for 10 passengers for something ‘free’ whereas MSC had the free drink and WiFi package which was….free. Gratuity was built into the package and no additional charges. So comparing 3 NCL mini suites with drinks was $21k vs 3 MSC Aurea Experience suites (1 step down from Yacht Club top suites) was $15k. In no way did we ever feel like anything was missing from our experience to pay 40% more. I will definitely consider MSC again.

Our ship was beautiful. Food great. Wonderful dance lessons. And Jamie was an amazing agent.
