The cruise on Oceania Regatta was pleasant and we saw lots of fascinating locales. However Oceania fell short of previous experiences. Things like the welcome bottle of wine (previously Champagne now Prosecco) the string group (previously a quartet now a duo) and the downgrading of the premium liquor package (top shelf brands not available, sub-par cocktails due to over reliance on mixes) all showed obvious cut backs. The change of port from Bangkok to Laem Chabang (sp) was a major disappointment and *many* passengers commented that it was to save on port fees. We had to pay out of pocket for

This trip was truly an adventure. Due to unknown circumstances, ports were changed in 3 of our stops and in Bangkok a last minute change occurred due to the earthquake. That particular change was unfortunate as it made the drive into Bangkok over 70 miles and cancelled all 3 of the shore excursions we had booked. We hired a driver for the day instead which worked out very well and we saw everything we wanted to but it did turn an overnight stay into a useless 2nd day because no one wanted to endure that journey twice! Pre-communication about the changes was spotty and left many question

Had the best time on the trip, room service was excellent, staff was very nice. Food was good. The day to day activities on the ship weren't much of a younger crowds desires so other than eating and playing bingo we mostly watched movies or sat out on the veranda to watch the view. My only issue was the laundry room, 4 washers and dryers and everyone was being used all the time so it was hard to get in being opened from 7 to 10. It should be open 24/7 or have more washers and dryers otherwise you have to wait up to 3 days for service to do it and bring it back.

We booked this cruise 3 months in advance for our honeymoon cruise, and were preregistered into Oceania program. We sent all the passport information to them. We fly to Seattle and get to where we are to be shuttled to the ship. They ask for our passports and when I hand them my Wife's Kenyan passport they get on the phone. We are sent to see management and are told that my wife needs a Canadian Visa, to board. In the 3 months no one has told us of this requirement. Now we are told that I can board but my wife can't.Oceania should have made us aware of this requirement, during the preregistrat

Best thing about Oceania is the crew’s attention to you. I love to be waited on and fussed over, and they sure did! We really got to know the crew, who was friendly and helpful. Shows were great. Carson, the cruise director, is not only funny and entertaining but also super talented. Food was fantastic once we figured out what to order. Excursions great. Had an amazing time ! Also enjoyed working with Shock as a travel agent. He was super helpful and timely answering all of the questions. !

Small ship concept was great! Staff very attentive. Food quality excellent. Some portion sizes for entrees were small. Some dishes were under seasoned. More salt/pepper, acid, spice was needed consistently.

“Loved the Post Excursion Tour”

Hello, We met with rainy and cool, cloudy weather on our Alaska cruise. The Tour options were wonderful and lots of good choices. However, as our ship got into the ports, often, later in the day, we often felt pressed for time and not enough time to enjoy the many options in each town. Hard to know which cruise line is best for Alaska. Certainly, one that offers more time in each port. We choose Oceania since we had used it once before and liked the smaller ship experience. We absolutely loved the Rocky Mountaineer trip and would totally recommend that be included more often as an option for a

We bought the trip rather late as we were needing a break. The stops on the trip were interesting but not great; 1 of the 2 excursions we purchased was cancelled. Butchart gardens was beautiful. As always on Oceania they make the guests feel special; from room maid to waiters and waitresses, the service is fantastic. We enjoyed every meal we had whether in the buffet, Grand Dining room, or the specialty restaurants. We especially enjoyed the two meals in Toscana, the Italian specialty restaurant. It was a good trip.

Food was not up to expected Oceania standards. A 15 Oceania guest agreed. A new Oceania guest cancelled his Dec. Vista trip ba sed on the food. We had 2 mushy Maine lobsters dishes and 1 Porterhouse steak too tough to finish.

Always perfect care by service staff .. excellent boarding and de boarding process. Top notch restaurants and service. So disappointing not stopping in Santa Barbara our main reason for taking this cruise to see family. This is our 2nd California coastal cruise with Oceania and last for this venue. Next coming up is The Amazon 30 day…different ship but same suite number … next year

The cruise was very nice with a wonderful crew to take care of everything. The cabin was comfortable as were the beds. The food was delicious. The scenery outstanding and for me the weather was perfect except for the 80 degree temp in Victoria. The only disappointment was some lack of communication. I did not find out that one excursion was canceled until I went to attend it. I did receive a credit but there was no time to try to get on another excursion instead.
