“Southeast Asia Cruise”

We really enjoyed this cruise to Southeast Asia. The various destinations we stopped at were great with lots to see. The only negative is that our ship stopped at ports that were far from the various cities and towns. All the guides we had on tours were all friendly and knowledgeable.

“Wonderful trip to Japan and Southeast Asia”

Viking’s crews were excellent and attentive as usual. Japanese people were so polite and helpful. Hong Kong and Taipei were beautiful and warm. Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand were so hot and humid. The royal palace and temples in Bangkok were beautiful. The food in all countries were amazing, especially Hong Kong and Bangkok. I will come back just for the street foods in Hong Kong, Taipei, and Bangkok.

Viking is dependably an excellent cruise line. It’s appeal for us is the emphasis on education and immersion into the history and culture of the countries visited. The culture is sophisticated with classical music at times and fine dining. The all inclusive rate is attractive. The staff is excellent. We are happy there is no casino. Overall, Viking provides a restful, but exciting cruise experience. We plan to travel with Viking in the future.

“Beautiful Destination but sometimes Hokey”

Some of the excursions were not up to Viking's typical standards. It could be because the destinations did not lend themselves well to those standards.

“Lovely ship”

We really loved this ship. The minimalist design was great! Where Viking fell down for us was with the food. It’s hard when one is used to Oceania’s excellent food. Vikings wasn’t bad, just inconsistent and mediocre. The gelato and sushi were great though!

Everything was superb on-board. Dome was new feature and Howard, the astronomer, taught us a great deal about space. The only negative to improve the experience would be to evaluate the GenVisa experience and make vast improvements to their communication and interactive forms. Perhaps there are better service providers. Fee hungry and lacking in knowledge about actual requirements for blank pages in passports for the countries on this itinerary. Carl L. Pherson

Ship, accommodations and onboard amenities were superb! Crew was excellent. Chef’s table needs improvement as food is ok and leaves you a bit hungry. Perhaps change to an Asian fashion restaurant or Mediterranean style restaurant. Wine offerings should be consistent among the restaurants for folks who purchase the silver package. Crotone was a waist of time, spend another day at sea to relax or an additional day in Sicily. Venice was ridiculously crowded, but crew was excellent in assisting us at all times.
