Viking Idun

Ship needed to be disinfected; almost all passengers came down with a virus, and after careful preparations to avoid just that, sore throats and headaches and chest complications made many miserable and unable to participate.

This was not a four star cruise by any means- had to kill flies in the dining room and the food was just ok.. nothing four stars for sure. The tours were a bit boring also and the entertainment was done by 9PM. Nothing much to do on the ship.

I was very disappointed with this trip. I expected better from Viking and feel as though my trip with Princess last year was better-definitely better quality food and activities.

Food and wine quality and options substandard, flies in restaurant a constant issue that went unresolved, service at restaurant lacked detailed care, management and personnel generally distant.

Most friends would want cruise with more entertainment and food options. This type of cruise is very slow and relaxing, which is what we wanted this time.
