QUÉBEC CITY
How Sweet it is! Discover Canada’s only walled city with a Local Guide on a sightseeing tour. Until the British victory of 1759, Old Québec was the center of New France. Within its walls are Place d’Armes, Laval Seminary, and ancient Place Royale. Also, ride the funicular and see the old-world houses crowding the narrow streets in Lower Town by the St. Lawrence River and historic Plains of Abraham. Visit a locally owned [LOCAL FAVORITE] Sugar Shack for a traditional sugar shack lunch including live musical entertainment. Explore the unique copper creations at the Albert Gilles Copper Art Studio and Museum. Continue to the Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre Shrine to see one of his greatest works of art, the hand-made copper main doors of the Basilica. Continue to Montmorency Falls Park for stunning views of a natural waterfall, the tallest in Quebec and 30 m taller than Niagara Falls (weather permitting). The afternoon is free to explore the holiday markets for Christmas cheer and European-style outdoor market shopping. QUÉBEC CITY
Christmas Carols Join your Tour Director and discover unique treasures and German-inspired cuisine at The Marché de Noël Allemand de Quebec (German Christmas Market). Wooden kiosks, live musical entertainment, Enjoy free time this afternoon before a farewell dinner at our hotel, Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac, the perfect ending to your vacation!
