I can imagine this could be a marvelous tour.....not once could we go on deck to enjoy the scenic beauty.....hunkered in the lounge and feeding ourselves with a great pallet of cuisine .....we all did our be to be positive and eat away our disappointment ......I wanted to paint some passing landscapes on deck.... that didn't happen. But the crew & staff where doing they're best to keep us satisfied ......I guess this is not an easy business to deal with the unknown variables of nature....the concept was good when we booked our trip....the reality was .......

This cruise was a great trip. Everything was top notch.

This was only our second river cruise and maybe after taking sea cruises we expected too much. Many of the excursions on went by an attraction and did not enter. We were usually given free time at the end to go back and enter if we had wished to, it just wasn't what we were expecting. Also, we would have liked the opportunity to just have dinners for two. Every table was for four persons or more.

Fabulous time onboard AmaSonata. Dejan did a great job hosting. Food and wine was excellent. Especially loved the bike excursion and the Clam Burg wine tasting. Met lots of nice people!

Very disappointed in the fact that we were not given a heads up about the possibility of this boat not being able to get up the river. Missed out on our visit to Nurenberg which was a main reason to book this cruise. Spent way too much time on the ship without sailing. Too much time in the buses during and after the cruise . I actually would’ve expected some type of compensation for the massive inconveniences. Particularly having to pack up and switch ships mid vacation. It would take a lot for me to reconsider a river cruise again.

Although AMA Waterways did everything they could possibly do, they have no control over the river water levels. They did their best to compensate for this, but I felt somewhat deprived of the cruising experience since it was very limited. Instead, because we had to be bussed to the land tours during waking moments, it took away some time for the tour itself. But AMA’s service is exceptional!

My 7 day river cruise was all I expected and more. The crew, accommodations, food and all the live music on board was above and beyond my expectations.

Really enjoyed our 50th wedding anniversary celebration which included visits to Prague & Budapest followed by our one-week cruise of the Danube Christmas Markets aboard the AmaSonata. Christmas Markets were a definite highlight, but the tour of Cesky Krumlov was a standout! Would prefer more regional food specialties and local, i.e. non-California (in Europe?) wines.

Beautiful ship, OUTSTANDING crew, wonderful excursions in exciting and charming ports. Couldn't have asked for more!

This trip was top notch. So glad we did this cruise. The crew, cruise manager, hotel manager, housekeeping and dining staff were wonderful. The food was delicious with lots of choices. The local guides were terrific. Forntheost part, the onboard entertainment exceeded expectations.

Loved AmaWaterways -- the cruise, the staff, the food, the itinerary. Also, our agent Colleen Baez was fantastic.

Relaxing, entertaining, amazing staff

From the the main manager, hotel manager, captain and all of the crew we received nothing but the best - cabins, balconies, areas for socializing, frequent trips and food, of course.

Food was excellent accommodations great and trips meet everything we looked for. Only issue is you couldn’t switch tables because of Covid concerns but I understand that
