The room was really small for the back of the ship and extremely expensive. We had 6 very small drawers for our things, We used the sofa for the suitcases and I had to continually unpack and repack. The close up makeup mirror and arm was so far away from the light so you couldn't use it. I ended up looking like crap because I cant apply makeup without it, no plugs in the bathroom and only one night stand. All of the excursions were grouped in the center of the trip (three days), we are not that active and after the three days we were too tired to do any onboard activities. And lets not even talk about the funds we spent to get the internet package, waste of money. The phone app didn't work so you couldn't plan and had to continually look at the paper schedule. The food was ok but on the fifth day I got diarrhea and spent a good amount of time in the ladies room. Not enough seating in the cafe for any meals and you had to walk around with plates for a place to sit. the overflow seating for breakfast was under the exercise room and very noisy with thumping.
My suggestions: Break the excursions up to every other day and not have them grouped together, most people were older than us. Make the beds higher so you can store the luggage under the bed and better yet, put drawers under the bed. Add a shelf on both sides of the headboard along with a charging port for your phone and or kindle. Integrate a make up mirror for use with lighting. Add more seating area for meals NOT under the exercise room or change those hours until after breakfast.
Alaska itself was incredible, I just wish the ship was better.
