“Great Experience on Insignia”
Cruise Date: 08/06/2025
Destination: Europe
We had a wonderful trip on Insignia to Newfoundland, Greenland, and Iceland. We loved the itinerary and grew to love the ship and the crew. While Insignia is an older ship and we missed a number of things that we experienced on Viking such as a walkaround promenade deck, laundry on each floor, included tours in each port..., we found much to like about the ship and service. The itinerary was excellent and overall a wonderful experience.

The Insignia ship, crew and staff gave us the best of cruising experiences. The suite, the restaurants, the amenities were perfect for the small ship experience that we enjoy. We met and gathered with many other folks that have had similar travel adventures and that relish the small ship cruises. Thank you Deborah !

Outstanding staff. Food was mostly good, but lacked flavor in some instances. The trip was a bit longer than anticipated. Lots of down time crossing the Atlantic. A few of the expeditions could have been more interesting in particular, Cape Town. Overall, a positive experience.

“Mixed reviews as so-called verandah upgrade overlooked noisy, working deck”
Cruise Date: 12/12/2024
Destination: Caribbean
We booked a GTY Verandah and were upgraded to a concierge verandah that turned out to be the worst verandah on the ship as it overlooked a working deck with incessant hammering beginning at 8:30 am on days we were in port. We allegedly had a steward but never met him. The bathroom was tiny with an even smaller shower stall. The food was generally good at the Terrace Restaurant and Waves Grill but items were often mislabeled and did not contain listed ingredients. Staff and servers were friendly and professional. The Polo Grill was very good one night, but the veal chop was disappointing the second time we went. The Toscana Italian restaurant was just okay, and the lamb chops entree was disappointing. The main dining room was generally very good with excellent service. The excursions were generally disappointing, especially the one in Puerto Plata where at every stop, someone tried to sell us something. Entertainment was good, especially the comic and Motown/Whitney Houston covers singer. The in-house singers and dancers were fine. The High Tea and Barista coffee bar were both very enjoyable. Trivia contests were fun and the guests on board were interesting and well-traveled.

“Insignia to Bermuda Sept1-8”
Cruise Date: 09/01/2024
Destination: Caribbean
We liked the smaller ship. The staff were very attentive. The entertainment was excellent. Overall we loved the experience. The Terrace cafe had.great food and a terrific variety. We ate there for most of our meals. We were disappointed with the.2 times we ate in.the dining room. Charred lamb chops and tough steak. The meal in the specialty restaurants was OK. We prefer the specialty restaurants in NCL. While in NYC, we had a superb meal at Tan and felt the Oceania meal should have been of that quality in their specialty restaurants.

“Service, Service, Service ”
Cruise Date: 09/01/2024
Destination: Caribbean
From the moment we first stepped aboard the Insignia to the moment we debarked the service of all crew members was impeccable. Meals were excellent at all venues although I was expecting a nicer variety at the two specialty restaurants. The nightly shows were excellent while the daytime was too relaxing (boring), really nothing was going on. While the ship itself was very clean, it does need an update. Our cabin was a rear facing balcony with magnificent views but inside was very tight, but surprisingly drawer space for clothing was very adequate. The bathroom the smallest I have ever seem on a cruise ship, good luck trying to shower if you have a disability or mobility issue. While my wife and I are active 70's this cruise was enjoyable, but cannot recommend it as it did not offer anything that entertained during the long sea days

Food very mediocre. Staff and crew wonderful. Two canceled tours due to bad weather. Difficult to disembark early in Portland due to customs. Wi-Fi very spotty. Would never do this again. Cunard much better. Thanks

“Panama Canal Fun! ”

Great 16 days aboard Oceania’s Insignia for the Panama Canal Adventure. Mixed with days at sea, fun ports and excursions, overall a great trip. Of course dining and service aboard was excellent as per usual when aboard Oceania. Highly recommend this itinerary.

FIRST 10 DAYS WERE GREAT. VISITED SMALL MOUNTAINOUS ISLANDS THAT WERE FIRST SETTLED BY FRENCH, THAN CEDED TO BRITIAN. NEVER HEARD OF MOST OF THEM BEFORE. RENTED CABS AND HAD GOOD TOURS WITH SMALL ROADS AND GREAT VIEWS. LAST 2 DAYS HAD HIGH WINDS SO MISSED LAST ISLAND AND THEN MIAMI PORT CLOSED SO 9 CRUISE SHIPS SPENT HOURS IN HOLDING PATTERN AND WE MISSED OUR PLANE CONNECTION ALONG WITH 15000 OTHERS! DID MANAGE TO FIND HOTEL AND FLIGHT NEXT DAY SO ALL ENDED WELL. KEN AND COLLEEN

The dining is fabulous and the food is awesome! Cabin service is beyond expectation! We traveled in Canada the first week in November and the days were cold. I advise this trip in summer.

Our experience, as it has repeatedly been on Oceania, was amazing. Excellent staff, cuisine, accommodations, and wonderful shipboard activities. Bermuda was great, and an added bonus was 7 days of sunshine!

“Bermuda Trip Comments (Insignia - Oceania)”
Cruise Date: 09/06/2023
Destination: Caribbean
- This was by far the best onboarding we have ever had with Oceania (took 15 min) - Also, by far the best departure and through security and CBP agents on the pier (this also took 15 min or so) - The service staff for staterooms were awesome again - We were not happy with the service in Terrace Cafe nor the Waves Grill. they were both understaffed from previous trips. We had to continually ask for water, soda, etc. They only had 2 people serving water for instance in waves grill the entire time with 15 tables. - The medical staff onboard Insignia was great as they bandaged Dan after he cut his foot on some coral/rocks - The food in specialty restaurants was awesome (and a LOT of food), but we seemed to have no variety in Terrace Cafe/restaurant...it seemed the same for 3 nights. - We were surprised by the gratuities that were charged at the poolside bar however as well (20% for each drink even though I picked them up myself on several occasions)...we have never recalled getting a 20% gratuity on previous trips) - Wish we had spent more time in Hamilton as there was much more to do there. Spending 2 days in St George was a waste. We did enjoy the bile ride and the beaches however and the people were more than friendly). We also were in Hamilton on a Sunday with NOTHING open and limited services. - We did a lot by ourselves (jet ski and snorkel...which they had offered a tour through Oceania). This was truly great as Barbara had set it up. - We also took the ferry to the Royal Dockyards (again this would have been a great thing to be offered by Oceania). Shopping was open and you could get to the pink sand beach from there as well. - We could have also spent additional time in Bermuda (Hamilton) as we left early and the ship did 11 knots only on the trip back...what a waste to not spend more time in Bermuda. It did not take 2 full days to get back to NYC

“Disappointing trip”
Cruise Date: 08/13/2023
Destination: Transatlantic/Repositioning
This was my first time traveling with Oceania, and the overall trip was a disappointment. The ship was not what I expected for a luxury cruise line. Size was great - about 650 passengers, but the food was average, desserts all tasted like they had been frozen, and there were limited things to do. The excursions were also a disappointment; very local guides spoke much English, and the descriptions didn't necessarily match what actually happened (in my first excursion, a walking tour to a waterfall, we started out with 22, and ended up with 8 ... and walked 7.2 miles!) Not sure I would travel with Oceania again; would definitely not book Insignia.

Very nice but not like the "old" Oceania. While Insignia is still a beautiful ship, it should be retired and replaced with a similar size ship.

Enjoyed the cruise but disappointed with the excursions and the tender process. Tender days were terrible with a total lack of communication between the staff.
