Princess Cruises - Ruby Princess Reviews

Weather was unpredictable so we missed our Juneau stop. Unfortunately, there wasn't another option offered. Such is life. The staff was exceptional as usual and a special thank you to the captain for providing pizza and refreshment for the Veterans meet up. What a nice acknowledgement.

Scenery was amazing. A little choppy on the way there but no sea sickness. All the food was delicious ? I got to use the medical services and was pleasantly surprised by the cost.

Furniture on the ship in really bad shape in the room the bed and sofa were really uncomfortable. A lot of the furniture on decks was also not in good condition. Otherwise it was a great trip.

Our whole family loved it. So many activities made the 11 days fly by. We had fun every single day—wish it lasted longer!

Great ports

Room was terrible, beds very uncomfortable, window in the room was extremely noisy, the room had a musty odor. The food was way below par, I would rate it equal to Denny’s. The dining staff was not anything to write home about. I have mobility issues and use a cane, much of the staff would just cut me off and it made me very uncomfortable trying to dodge them. I don’t think much effort is put into training the workers. The shows were ok each evening. But the seating arrangement could be done in a better fashion. Most enjoyable was the center ship entertainment and even better was the International cafe. Overall I would say since these cruise lines have become big corporations they lost their way on customer service. Also the food has hit bottom. Wish anyone who uses Princess a better experience than we had.

Ruby princess is getting hold. The buffet food quality is poor. The main restaurants are fine.

Did not meet my expectations

First time cruise. Loved it!

Cruise itinerary was great but all else seems to have slipped. This is the fourth Princess cruise we’ve taken since early 2020, and neither the service nor the food are what they used to be. That being said, we still had a good time.

The only complaint I have is that one of the merchants selling T-shirts was extremely rude to me. I picked up a shirt to look at the size and the merchant said “Put it down, we’re still setting up “.

Weather was cold,windy and wet but we were prepared. Still didn’t like getting soaked when being outside?Advise people to go in June or July. Staff was very accommodating.Ship was fine but buffet was limited. It was interesting to see the different environment.

This was a wonderful cruise. The Panama Canal and going through the locks was amazing to see It was really cool to see how it worked. Lots to do ON the ship, food was amazing though the buffet didn't have as broad of a selection as some ships I have been on, it was still excellent and have no complaints on the food itself. Rooms were very sufficient and we had an Aft room this time and Loved being all the way on the back of the ship. The entertainment was really good and enjoyed everything we saw. Staff was very nice and helpful. The only thing we didn't particularly "love" was the shore excursions in Columbia due to the people swarming you like vultures which was tiring. The city had much to see and we loved that part and though we would have loved to have bought a couple of things, bring out money and you are swarmed. So it just wasn't worth all that .... OTHER than that this was an amazing 10 days at sea. We loved it and would definitely do it again on the Ruby Princess..

The staff and ship - Princess Ruby- food, were great. We were a little disappointed in our 'Ocean View" room as they took away the bed tables and reading lights to make up a king sized bed from 2 twins. There was only 1 desk chair for sitting. The 2 shore excursions were VERY disappointing. Too much time on busses and guides were NOT knowledgeable nor professional. One guide was asked a question regarding the impact of people passing through Panama enroute to the US. She answered " I don't want to get political" then went on for over 15 minutes with her very political opinion. Certainly NOT worth the money - I would never recommend these - in fact the opposite.

My wife and I had a wonderful time during the cruise. The service was outstanding at all level. The Ruby Princess cruise was the best cruise we have taken. We would consider taking the cruise again.
