Fantastic trip! Service beyond expectations. Excellent food and dining choices. Excursions were varied with options for our group with different abilities. Only disappointment was having to change ships after 10 days because of water level in river, but this couldn't be helped. Otherwise, incredible trip!

Everything was nice and the food was good

It was first-rate. The excursions were great, and the guides were super-knowledgeable. The food was top quality, and all of the crew were responsive and friendly. The only suggestion I have is that the evening talk about the next day's activities should stress the name-number of the pier where we will be docked so that it is very clear where a taxi should return us when we've been out exploring on our own.

Avalon Impression Budapest to Prague was a wonderful trip.There were 6 of us, all family, ages 34 to 70, loved the ship and the shore visits even more. Staff was great, rooms big and very clean. Tour guides knowledgeable. No problems with water levels on the Danube. Our family loves castles, museums and pubs. We were able to do all that. Especially pre cruise in Budapest, we were there a few days early, stayed at D 8 Hotel. Post cruise a few days in Prague.

Best vacation ever! Avalon exceeded our expectations at every turn. The accommodations, the service, the food, the tours and the staff were all five star. Excellent across the board!

Great in all ways!

1. I was quite disappointed with the food. I found it to be quite ordinary and some meal offerings were uninspiring and repetitive. Desserts were also quite ordinary! 2. We would have enjoyed more activities in the evening- games (trivia) and dance activities. 3. Rigid attendance to lunch and dinner times interfered with excursions.

The Avalon Tulip Time Cruise (May1-8) was fantastic. My husband and I enjoyed the daily excursions with wonderful guides, the meals, the evening entertainment, happy hour, and other events. The tour director on the ship was awesome. Everything was well organized. The room was comfortable and very clean. The staff were efficient and friendly. I would highly recommend.

Our River Cruise along the Rhine exceeded our expectations. We started with a stay at Lake Como, traveled to Lucerne Switzerland, with stops in France, Germany and Amsterdam. Our travel advisor Penny helped us plan every step of the way answering all of our many questions and assisting us with our extensions in Amsterdam and Paris. Loved the cruise. We were very fortunate to be able to make it the whole way in the Rhine. The captain told us that at one point on the river there was just 12” of water between the bottom of our ship and the bottom of the river. We met a couple from North Carolina while we did the boat tour around Lake Lucerne. They had been on a Viking cruise and their ship had to turn around at Strasbourg and go back to Worms, Germany because of the water levels. They then had to go either by bus or train to either Basel or Lucerne, so they never made it to Breisach and the Black Forest which was one of my

This was my first river cruise, and I was thrilled with the trip. I added the optional extension that included one extra day in Amsterdam before the cruise, and three extra days afterward in Switzerland and Como, Italy. Avoya took care of all of the details and I was able to put all of my energy into experiencing Christmas in five countries. With only 154 other passengers, it was a personal and intimate ship experience.
